What do you do at the theatre, nasty?
And, btw, I LOVE this show, and think it is the most pure, and unadultured fun times you can have in theatre, but with that small of an audience in that tiny theatre, I can't see it lasting past fall. But I am not hating. I AM IN LOVE WITH THE SHOW!!!!!

Here's my question:
If you think the show is so amazing (which I do as well) why mention how empty the balcony was and the orchestra?

Posted: 7/11/08 at 11:54pmSome of us like to read the current condition of shows. Not that Friday evenings are a great assessment, but I found it worthwhile to read at least.
re: XANADU technical difficulty tonight#11
Posted: 7/12/08 at 12:14amI appreciated the report on the tech stuff, but the way the report on how empty it was (and yes, friday nights are slow--i worked SA and they had over 300 empty seats tonight) seemed a bit schadenfreuden-esque and really has nothing to do with what happened tonight.
re: XANADU technical difficulty tonight#12
Posted: 7/12/08 at 12:22amand him mentioning how the house looks really has nothing to do with his love for the show and how amazing he thinks it is...

Posted: 7/12/08 at 12:27amIs it still not a comment though on Xanadu? I love this show, I've seen it multiple times. I don't know why it was posted, but I definitely see why it was posted, it's perfectly relevant. People can love a show and objectively report something at the same time.

Jackie's ad-lib after the tech prob (seems like one of the keyboards shorted out), was hilarious-- Love Curtis as Sonny !!!
He was the first that I saw as Sonny, so love seeing him go back on. Glad he is gonna be staying with the show when Chey comes back !!!

Sad to hear it's not filling the Helen Hayes anymore...when I returned about two weeks ago, the theater was packed.
I love this show...I hope it hangs on for a while longer.

Posted: 7/12/08 at 12:45amWas told before the show that tonight was one of the only recent shows that was not close to a sell-out, so they are still doing pretty well.
