A CHORUS LINE closing August 17
I know it wasn't doing too well, but I must say it's a bit of a surprise.
They did very well - had a great run. Good for them.
WOW. Total shocker for me.

It's about time. I'm sure it will tour well, but the show didn't really do much for the show or for Broadway. It wasn't anything new. And I think this season has proved how well an innovative new staging of a classic can be.
Wow, I thought it would run way longer.
Although I'm sad to see it go, I really agree with RentBoy.
I'll see it in Boston this fall anyway.
Sad but true ... it would've been nice to see the show through fresh eyes rather than nostalgic ones. And I get to see the tour in August.
It had a good run, congratulations to everyone involved.
I'm sure the tour will be successful, and it'll probably even go non-eq for a second go-around.
Now, one of the 12532872947659 new musicals coming in next year can have a theatre.
CONGRATULATIONS ON A MAGNIFICENT PRODUCTION! Thank you for bringing the classic back to the boards. You truly are The One. Tour:Merde!

Aw, this is sad. I am going to miss it so much. I will have to see it a few more times before then.

Wow. Didn't expect that. That's sad. I love Natalie Cortez, hopefully we'll get to see her in something new soon.
How sad I will most certainly have to see it again while I'm in NYC for the Tonys.
Wow. Sad as it is, I can't say I didn't see it coming.

Wow. I didn't see that coming at all...as someone who was not alive during the original run, this production was one of the most, if not the most moving experience I have had in the theater. What a magnificient show. It will be missed.
Awwwwww. That's sad
Well Im sure the cast will all move on to new projects. So that's good.
The tour has half-price tickets already in L.A. It has since it opened for a limited run.
"Kiss today goodbye..."
This is sad. I had a chance to see the revival twice. At least it recouped its investment and will play through the summer!
Wow. I personally thought it would run a bit longer.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofui was just talking to someone today about this show and how i thought it would run for YEARS. i'm very surprised to see it's leaving so quickly! i wonder what other show they want to get in it's spot?
At least it's not like another musical revival that will stay open forever because of stunt casting... I mean... wait...
I, for one, am grateful it was a re-staging of the original - which I never got to see. But that's just me. I didn't even care for it that much. Superb dancing but it was still stale.
Any guess for which show will replace it?
Well, thank God we were spared Melanie Griffith as Cassie, and Kathy Lee Gifford as Sheila.
wow! that was fast! I did not even see the show.
