I thought this was great news! This may turn into my favorite moment of the night, as long as they are given the time to perform. I imagine they will do a medley of various tunes from the show (including the unrecorded "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out"). Would love to see the same cast return this winter, so long as the kids don't grow too fast.

Good for them!
The producers of "A Christmas Story" must be spending an arm and a leg to fly the cast in for this. Too bad the producers of "Drood" doesn't have the same love and respect for their show and cast.

Don't kid yourself South Fl Marc. The producers aren't doing it out of "love and respect for their show and cast." They're doing it to sell tickets to this years tour and return Broadway engagement.

I think if A Christmas Story wasn't returning, this wouldn't happen. I'd expect the touring cast of Bring It On to be performing at the Tonys as well.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I'd love for BRING IT ON to perform but the tour is long over, isn't it?

Yes it is. A couple of the original stars have already moved on to longterm projects. Don't see BRING IT ON ever returning, but I am happy to eat (Liza's) crow if I am wrong.

Bring it on might perform. Leap of Faith peformed last year and it was closed and I don't think it had a plan for a tour. But I am very excited to see Christmas Story perform!

Yes, I shared Taylor Louderman's facebook status from this weekend.
So this is infact the first tour/Broadway cast.

My question, will Ariana Debose perform with that & Motown?

Glad to hear both A Christmas Story and Bring It On will be performing.

Bring It On is launching a non-equity tour in January, I believe. I'd personally love to see Johnny Rabe come back as Ralphie for the upcoming return holiday engagement of A Christmas Story, because he was fantastic - as was that entire cast.

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.
