I saw the show on Friday and was shocked at what a state the show is in. I know it is in previews but the lighting was god awful. It wasn't even lighting half of the action. The transitions and ending were laughable. Most of the people around me reffered to the stageing as something you would see in a high school. The stupid grave yard song NEEDS to be cut. There needs to be a bigger diffrence between France and England.
The voices were EXCELLENT. The accents were awful. The Costumes are great. The score, orchestrations, and book are very good. Suprisingly good.
I enjoyed the show. Wouldn't recomend it to anyone unless it has some big fixes by opening night.
This is why the show is still in previews...all those lighting mishaps will definitely be fixed very soon.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the score, orchestrations and book...all are wonderful.

I work in the front of the house and they are not selling the box seats at the moment due to the right boxes being used in the show

No kidding -- those were probably above my head and I didn't even see anything that was going on in the boxes. Thanks for the info!
I think I saw some of the creative team taking notes in the right boxes on Friday night...
I was hoping to be able to catch the show when I was in town for Broadway on Broadway but I noticed tonight that they don't have Sunday performances until after the show officially opens.
I too saw members of the creative team take notes there. However, it was during the first preview.
I believe they were in both the left and right boxes.
I'm getting my window card framed tomorrow at Triton. I got the cast to sign it, as well as set designer Tony Walton, director Warren Carlyle and the gorgeous Jill Santoriello. Can't wait for the souvenir program and cast recording to be released!!!

I just bought my tickets at TKTS, thinking i could get further back than the front row student rush, but ended up getting second row. Am i still going to have some problems with the stage foot lights obstructing things? Im just wondering if i paid twice as much for the same tickets. hah
I am sure that the second row is going to have the same obstructed view problems as the first row.

Also depends where you are in the 2nd row; if not at the extreme sides, you might get a decent view. the footlights didn't bother me much.
without a trace, I haven't been seeing Tale tickets on tdf. Do they pop up at the last minute, or have they dried up?
They aren't up right now...but we up a few times so far...the tickets all went very quickly. Keep checking!

it was on the board from the very start. I dont know if thats only because its monday, but i had no problem getting tickets.
PS: this show is a better show to see from further away...the sets and lighting look better.

We were 2nd row 101 and 102. Footlights were not a problem. But the stage is rather high and not raked, so I could not see the floor (unless I sat way up straight). This was annoying. I couldn't see someone lying on the ground, or the bottom half of others standing in a depressed area slightly below ground level.
I just bought tickets for tomorrow (Tuesday) row H almost dead center [Happy to find them at $79.50 price]. I think those seats will be perfect.
The music is growing on me. Buy the Concept Album, $20.00.
p.s. Act One needs to be shortened by at least ten minutes. I missed Resurrection Man because I had to leave so I wouldn't p..s in my seat.
How many times have you seen it WAT?
It sounds like it's a great musical!
I've seen it three times...the fourth time will be September 1st.
