Rentboy, front row was and should be partial view. The footlights got in the way of things, and it was hard to fully see things that happened up center stage. And, some of the things that happened on the second level of platforms was hard to see. But, that was about it. I would sit there again in a heartbeat, specially if I am paying 27 bucks for a ticket.

Now, onto my views about the show. First off, I do not see this as a second rate Les Miserables. If someone sees it that way or not is a matter of opinion. Just because it is my opinion doesn't make it wrong and vice versa. I thought the music was very beautiful and well done. As were the sets the costumes and the acting. I will admit that this show isn't perfect. It is true that it still needs some work. One thing that comes to mind when saying this is the feeling that the grave robbing song should just go.

The show made me care about the characters and I left loving all of them. I must say, that in terms of the actors, there wasn't a bad one in the group. Yes, James Barbour is the standout. However, everyone else did a great job. I thought the sets were well done as well as the lighting.

I just feel that the people who are calling it the next Les Miserables, are people who decided to bash this show without giving it a chance. There were a lot of threads that talked about this topic even before the show made it to Broadway.
