No, this is absurd. I don't appreciate the generalization of "you people on this board". We are different people and we behave and post in different ways.

Speaking for myself, I'm happy to see varying opinions. I don't need people to agree with me. I like Patti LuPone. I know many people who don't like her, but I'm not out trying to convert them! I don't care! It's individual f***in' taste! I know people who thought Sean "P. Diddy" Combs was "excellent" in "Raisin in the Sun." I think he's an idiot who couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. But we disagree and that's just dandy.

Again speaking for myself here, the problem I have isn't the difference of opinion, it's the particularly NASTY and INTENTIONAL manner in which CERTAIN POSTERS have slammed the current production of "Gypsy" and Ms. LuPone. For me, the difference is: are these DISCUSSIONS where opinions are simply being expressed? Or is hateful, hurtful spewing going on because some people just can't stand that the opposite viewpoint than the one they hold seems to be predominent? I'm fine with the former, NOT with the latter.

I only have one account. unlike Jeff Bray who has two....whatever those names are.

jrb- I think you know me better than some of these posters. I dont know youre understanding the histories of this post. There's one poster who keeps changing his name to a lot of posters' name... ex... A Director...who some of you would remember posted a thread acussing me of things I did not do. If I were you.. I will stay away from this thread.. There is a mean, nasty poster here who bashed me (after to ALL Ive contribute here) John Doyle and now Miss Patti.

This not about me or him.. this is about people or 1 person who are constantly trying to get attention bec. for some reason cannot get any attention in the REAL WORLD. and will post STUPID NASTY Sh*T in here like A question to Jaystarr thread and now bashing on GYPSY/ Miss Patty.. This is an ATTENTION WHOre person....

Trust me... you know I am your friend... Dont take sides that's on a losing streak specially you dont know the original intention of that NASTY poster.

You know.. I never DO anything bad here, but I also stand what I think its RIGHT!

I am also friends with Yankeefan and does not like Patti though he is a gracious person... and I respect his opinions....and some other POSTER who does not like Miss Patti but I RESPECT THEIR opinions and still love them!!! .not like the original poster who wants to get all the attention he could whore!

Sometimes when you guys post you have to look at the original poster's credibilty.....

I just joined in the last week or so because I love the theater and I wanted to write about Cry-Baby after seeing all the extremely negative posts. I liked the show - A LOT. I like many different types of shows, as do many of us. To say that Cry-Baby is one of the worst musicals on Broadway is ridiculous and makes me wonder about some of the motivations on this Board.

And guess what? I'm not a shill and resent being attacked as such. I'm not even in the entertainment business. I'm a banker for god's sake. I actually think some of you nasty b*&^%es are the true shills.

It is rare that I comment on these types of message boards. I read them and am usually taken aback at the inane (or should I say insane)and rude comments people make. I thought a theater message board would be different - more intelligent.

WRONG. We all think we are critics - but the best critic is witty, not nasty.

And now for my piece of nasty, after my indoctrination here . . . I hope your precious Patti Lupone gets shut out of that Tony Award for Gypsy that most of you think she already has at home. I liked her in Evita but ever since I find her to be a bundle of ticks and mannerisms.

Perhaps a new thread on that??
