What do you mean "not really"? Did I miss something? Is Collins dead at the end of Rent? One of the four homosexual characters in the show dies and people are turning it into some sort of anti-gay message? Are you kidding me? Some people must really be searching for ways to make themselves feel "oppressed".

I was actually referring to a memorable (and the most recognized) moment in one of the most popular shows of the last 20 years, as opposed to a less important and less memorable scene in another popular show. I don't think Chiquitita is the even in the top 5 remembered scenes from MM.
