I don't usually do mental casting, but I would kill to see Sutton Foster take a stab at Reno Sweeney. IMO, she would be perfect.

Does Sutton Foster have the legit soprano notes for Lilli in Carnival? I've only ever heard her belt, so I honestly don't know.

Honestly, no matter who was doing it, I don't think I want to see a revival of Carnival. I can not get past that book. I've done the show, and I just can't see how you can play Lilli as anything but a step above a severe mental handicap in order for the "revelation" at the end to come off even remotely plausible.

You should try and get Gavin Creel into 'Mary Poppins' before the 'Godspell' producers find any money. I'm just sayin'.

(Also I'd love to see Clive Wood as Claudius, and the knowledge that he's already done it and I missed it makes me a sad panda. )

Kate Shindle as Elphaba.
Leigh Ann Larkin as Glinda (or in anything after Gypsy closes asap)
Cheyenne Jackson as Fiyero (although that is way too small of a role for him).
Laura Benanti as Eliza Doolittle (as she expressed she wanted to do in an interview).
David Burnham as Tony in WSS.
Stephanie J. Block as Mama Rose in 20-30 years.
I also agree with Meryl Streep taking on the role.
Kristin Chenoweth in anything (she needs to get her tiny butt back to broadway!).

you made casting desicions that made no sense. It's more than just, can they sing that, it is also, do they have that personality, and your pesonalities didn't fit

God I completely agree with getting Gavin Creel on Broadway in Mary Poppins. From what I've seen and heard from the London production, he's absolutely phenomenal.

As someone who is TOTALLY EXCITED about the guy and dolls revival, i think that:

Kristin Chenoweth as Miss Adelaide. *if she can sing it*
Norbert Leo Butz as Nathan Detroit
Ashley Brown as Sarah Brown

I also like the idea of Adam Pascal as Judas.

And though they may be a bit old, i've always wanted to see Pascal as Fiyero and Anthony Rapp as Boq. Wishful thinking, I know. :)
