While I did preface my comments as being prioritized to open again. The two examples I referenced were actually what I’ve been hearing from a number of people who go into the city the see shows. And by no means did I ever allude to the expectation of stage dooring as a requirement.

1) the one that talked about not going under the listed protocol was citing more the somewhat restricted “social” experience of seeing a show. She had gone to one socially distanced play in the fall and said it was mournful how empty and half dead the experience was. She misses the idea that standing in line to go in a random conversation with another attendee is highly unlikely, she is also someone who has frequently had panic attacks with wearing masks to the point of sweats and blacking out, the strictness of the setting has also deterred her from having any interest until things open up. As a musical producer, she also has found herself on occasion at the stage door. She says it’s the atmosphere she loves. (Not the crazies... she described it as a brief “after party”)
2) the group that I had mentioned about not wanting to go until stage door is back. This is a group of friends who had gone since they were sixteen for the last number of years. And they do this kind of BFF trip to New York once a year. And see a handful of shows that had opened that summer. Well yes. Everyone realizes that stage dooring is not included in the ticket. They personally look at it that if they are spending at 20 somethings 200$ a ticket. They would like to at least stage door who ever chooses to. For them it’s just become a part of their ritual: go for dinner, show,stagedoor, dessert. Within the last year they’ve looked at some of it. If they aren’t able to do that. They can watch stuff like bootlegs or “live on broadway “ films together. And save the couple grand each year. That’s all they were saying.

Re the non-vaccine side of the street, my intuition is that most people will come around when it becomes impractical not to. As we progress and Florida (and its comrades in stupidity) starts losing (e.g.) conventions, tourism, businesses, etc. [not to mention more human life while the rest of the country moves on], this will largely evaporate. It's a lose lose proposition. And from the other perspective, when these people figure out they can't get on an airplane, I have a feeling they are going to see the light too.
