Ugh. Are you kidding me? No Blu-ray/4K option available?

That product description is misleading in that it doesn't mention "blu ray" but the email I received with the announcement did say "blu ray". See below ...
Ughhhh, I just noticed that it says "shipping for the 2018 Holiday Season" ... that's a long ways off!!

Wow — yes, their description is quite misleading. A DVD and a Blu-ray are very different things — and they seem to be conflating the two. Still — looks like there’s hope! Tnx!!

I never understand why/how people learned to care about 4k-Ultra-Bluray-HD-etc quality, but it does give me a great deal of laughter. Maybe it’s because I grew up on fuzzy VHS tapes of things taped from a TV, with a picture filled with lines and crap quality, so anything above that looks great to me. Idk.
This box set looks incredible, definitely preordering it. I’m glad this show continues to live on after its closing.
I am big. It’s the REVIVALS that got small.

If you play video games, even after the fake/checkerboard 4k on PS4 Pro, it's almost impossible to go back to 1080p, let alone 480p.

Its a 2-Disc Box Set: 1 disc is a DVD; 1 disc is the Blu-ray. This type of packaging is standard. They incorrectly wrote 2 DVD instead of 2-Disc.

I think because VHS and DVD quality looked pretty good on old TVs but look much worse on TVs that people have these days. Something about the technology that makes older quality videos look much worse than they did on older sets that were not capable of HD quality.

Is this still being released in December?
The encore screening is December 11th. Will it be released on DVD soon after?
Is it only gonna be shipping as a box set from the show's website, or on Amazon too?
They've been dragging this release out for so long now. It's starting to get ridiculous.

I'm unclear why you think people here would know more than the producers of the show. Did you ask them? Lorenzo and Jay are not very hard to find.

I wonder what happened to this ... there has been absolutely no information forthcoming whether this will ever actually come out or if it has been scrapped. A real shame if that is the case.

I don't get why they can't just sell this and Bandstand to BroadwayHD... I'm sure they'll buy it and clearly the producers of Allegiance have no interest in this box set

I wonder why you keep thinking the site that has never provided you with an answer to this is the place to keep trying to find one? And why the notion of writing to the producers, who I know are insanely responsive, seems a bridge too far...
