ALW is the leader we need / Hal Prince Phantom to Return

I'm only half-ashamed to admit that this video made me cry. I also love the leadership position that he's taking on rallying the industry and using his government influence as well.

I got teary-eyed watching that video too.

Great to see them renovating/refurbishing the theater. I do hope the Majestic theatre here in NYC will be renovated/refurbished as well since to my knowledge no major updates have been done since 1988. I do hope Phantom will reopen here on Broadway as well.

I was very touched by the video, especially toward the end when he talked about the uniqueness of live theater and how special it is.

This video did nothing to make me less worried about the original Prince/Bjornson Phantom, however. We all know that the new UK tour was billed as the Prince/Bjornson "brilliant original" even though the chandelier was changed, the chandelier rigging was changed, the angel was gone, and the proscenium's statues were all removed, among who knows what other changes. There is still plenty of time for them to come to New York and rip out the original Phantom here as well.
