I don't doubt your memory but that's not even possible, nor does it make any sense. I am highly skeptical of whoever you spoke to.
wasn't there something about when Glee was popular several artists decreased or waived their fees to record? I'm pretty sure if you record a cover (for profit) it can get pretty expensive depending on the song.

I'm bumping this because this show has been on my mind a lot today... Are there any rumblings about any hope for a cast recording? I know it's pretty much (very much) dead, but who knows what could happen. Ugh, I adore the show.
If Glory Days and Cry Baby can get cast albums however many years after closing there's always hope. In this case though I assume they'll figure the London cast is good enough for licensing.
I've spoken to two cast members. There is no chance in hell. It's dead.
