They may be "names" to the denizens of BroadwayWorld and All That Chat, but Zoe Kazan, Billy Porter and Christian Borle are hardly "names" to the real world.

It hardly matters, considering that the entire subscription run sold out in one day, before a single cast member was formally announced.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

AC, I couldn't agree with you more! Every time I see her in something, I can't help but ask myself why. And she always gets the handsome guy in movies. It makes no sense. I find her acting very overrated.

I read with Zoe in an audition for a film a few years ago and let me tell you, that girl is fvcking amazing. Maybe she hasn't always done stuff that shows her full potential, but it's there. I'm excited to see her in this.

The subscription run didn't sell out; the limited number of subscriptions sold out.

Single seats haven't gone on sale yet.

Don't count Zach out yet, I think he's better then maybe people give him credit for.

He has an incredible range with a strong background in theatre. I've seen him several shows including one in Ojai, California. He is VERY good and I am sure he doesn't want to be type cast as either a killer or an alien (Heroes and Star Trek respectively)

He may surprise us :)

Billy Porter is a fantastic actor - he just happens to have amazing pipes and is known more as a musical theater actor/singer. He'll be awesome as Belize.

I am, however, cringing at the thought of Zoe Kazan as Harper.

I think if Billy is well-directed, he will be quite good. Did anyone see him in Birdie Blue at Second Stage a few years back?

Per Signature's Twitter account, the revelation of some casting (including what they call a "major casting scoop"--Quinto?) is imminent.

It sounds like Quinto is definitely in, and I'm excited for his performance. I'm not as thrilled about Kazan.

My question is: Who's gonna play Roy???

Is Everett Quinton too old?

If they told Bobby Steggert he was too young, I can't imagine Kazan being cast. She reads seventeen in everything she does.

Langella would be incredible. The casting so far has underwhelmed me. I'm not a fan of Christian Borle's either...eh. Oh well. Maybe they'll surprise me.

I highly doubt Langella will be cast, it doesn't sound like they are going for names, even though I can't imagine anyone else I'd rather see in the role, he's so good.
I can't stand Christian Borle, I think he has absolutely no presence and the blandest line readings, having said that, I'm hoping that since Prior is such a great role I'm hoping he manages to do justice to the material and surprise us all.

Have any subscribers who sent in your ANGELS ticket request via email received a confirmation yet? I know subscriber booking only started yesterday, just wondering how long it takes, if I should have received some kind of confirmation yet.

No, I haven't yet either. It usually takes a day or two.

I stopped by the theatre over the weekend to put in my requests and it looked like they were in the process of inputting/calling all the people who have e-mailed in their ticket choices.

I received an email on 6/16 telling me I was confirmed and the best choice of seats was for my third choice which was for both parts on a Saturday. I picked October, November and December in that order all for Saturday's.

I would call the theatre as soon as they open tomorrow.

It'll never happen, obviously. But do any of you think Sherie Renee Scott would make a good Harper? I sure do.

I want to see Marin Ireland as Harper. SRS is my favorite diva on Broadway right now but she's too old for Harper.

I faxed in my show request form with show choices at 10:00 am on the first day of ordering. My credit card has been charged for the guest tickets I purchased for Parts 1 and 2 but I haven't been notified which of my choices I received.

EDIT:

Literally 15 minutes after I initially posted this, I got a call from Signature Theatre regarding my tickets and seat assignments. I got my first choices too.
