ARTEMIS FOWL musical in the works

The original novel's author, Eoin Colfer, will write the book and co-write the lyrics with Liam Bates, who's also writing the score. The musical will be based on both the novel and the film adaptation. I haven't watched the film, but the novel is good fun. I'm a bit intrigued.

LOVED these books when I was younger. But the film was a total misfire on nearly every level and failed to capture what was so magical about the novel. I can't quite picture what a musical would feel like, but I'm happy that Colfer is involved. Hopefully he is taking some lessons from the film and can help maintain the spirit of his novel here.
