Chaz, where’d you get that Legally Blonde is doing another tour from? Is it the same one that Big League sent out a few seasons back?
The Jack O’Brien Sound of Music is going back out next season, I believe as equity.
I’m curious how much longer the current Les Miserables tour has in it and if they’ll bring that arena concert version of the show to the states eventually.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Hearing Illinois might be going out on a short tour. Possibly non-equity.

Hell’s Kitchen, The Outsiders, Suffs, Water for Elephants, The Great Gatsby, and The Notebook for new musicals.
Spamalot, The Who’s Tommy, Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast, and Legally Blonde for revivals."
Thanks.
Would Spamalot, Phantom of the Opera, Beaury and the Beast,Legally Blonde and Jack O’Brien’sThe Sound of Music will be off subscription?"
That depends on each venue, as each venue is different in how they determine what’s a part of the season subscription versus what are the add-on offerings.
Typically, add-on offerings are the shows which have been on tour for a long time (Les Mis, The Lion King, Come from Away, etc.) but even then depending on scheduling and popularity, venues can have those be a part of the main season for subscribers as well.
Who’s Tommy, Spamalot, Phantom, and Beauty and the Beast are all ‘new’ productions and will definitely be sold to the road houses as part of the subscription packages. I’m not sure about The Sound of Music, it’s not a new production of the show, but it’s also been 10 years since the equity tour of it went out. There might be demand for it in the subscriptions. Legally Blonde is a bus and truck tour and is not hitting any major markets.

Thinking the small American cities need 5-6 shows to make up a subscription package. The bigger cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago need more than that.
As there is no real complexity to the staging, as there is not real any, do we think that Sunset Boulevard could be going out next season, or maybe Cabaret, if they can get it to work in a Proscenium theatre?
Water for Elephants and Phantom are both confirmed to be originating at the Hippodrome in Baltimore. Both Fall of 2025 (Phantom November).. Maryland has a nice tax break via the Maryland Theatrical Tax Credit established in 2022 for originating shows, has the required union workers in the area for various pre-production construction and design, plus the ease of travel from NYC to Baltimore helps too. The legislation provides up to $2 million in refundable tax credits for eligible productions. Peter Pan, Life of Pi, &Juliet, Wiz (pre-Broadway), Phantom, and Elephants have/will all originate at Hippodrome.
