Jessie originated the role, she was not a producer......hence she has say or influence with anything that happens to Beautiful, outside of collecting royalty checks for doing the workshop and cast recording. "
If Beautiful was developed on a workshop contract not a lab, that's a pretty big deal. Do you know that for a fact or are you just making it up?
Also, didn't Vanessa Ray precede her?

I could not be more excited to see Abby again. I saw her three times in Philly on tour and just loved her as Carole.

Abby has a great voice. I've seen her at a few cabarets and also as a swing in a few parts in Kinky Boots. This might make me go see Beautiful again.

Why do you continue to post lies and try to pass them off as fact? Aside from the fact she didn't even originate the role in developmental workshops or labs, she is certainly not receiving a royalty for her work on the BEAUTIFUL cast recording. I don't even know what would give you that impression or how you came up with this crazy idea.

Abby was fantastic when I saw Beautiful in Chicago! Really embodied the role!

I ask myself that every time bdn posts. It's quite bizarre, IMO.

I can't imagine Jessie Mueller (and the rest of the OBC) don't get residuals from the cast recording.

Old article but speaks of royalties etc. maybe things have changed in 10 years?
Pretty sure they just get paid for the work they do and that is it. It would make it impossible to make a profit off of a casting recording if everyone was receiving residuals. They get paid 2 weeks worth for recording that day.

My earlier comment was not questioning if residuals are in the contracts for the OBC of Beautiful. Because they are. I was merely suggesting that the album had probably sold enough by now to trigger profit sharing. Less successful shows of that same season have been paying album residuals to OBC members, so I assume the same for Beautiful.
She started this week, no? Has anyone seen her?
