They did a select screening (I am not special, just lucky) last fall and I saw it then. LOVED IT and I am pretty picky.
They DI NOT rip off bread and puppet theatre, considering that Julie Taymor studied with them and even put them in the film. last I heard it's not a rip-off if then one doing it is the original. Just saying.
There is a plot, a good one. I just hope they fixed the weird animation-type sequences. Anyway, let me know if you wanna know anything.

Another "promo" trailer (shown on video projection before the actual trailers start) features a LOT more actual singing by the cast.

I rather enjoyed Evan Rachel Wood's song.

Really? Because that makes me barf. One of the worst things about it. When I first saw the trailer online a few months ago I cringed when I heard the leads' names were Lucy and Jude. Oh GOD! And I don't think Patience is in a song, maybe you mean Prudence? Anyway, I and everyone in my four Beatle Yahoo groups are appalled. It's heresy and blasphemy, and this is coming from a very progressive person. That anyone could look at this and think it looks good blows my freaking mind. Blatant rip off on Moulin Rouge (the shot of "is there anybody going to listen to my story" (("girl")) could easily be "there was a boy..."(("nature boy"))) and an absolutely cheap, hackneyed, simplistic, over-simplified and stereotypical vision of the sixties.
And I was born in 1985.
