Most of these people have very noticeable vibrattos. But for some reason, Murney's, Esparza's, and some of the others mentioned don't really bother me. The only person whose vibratto annoys the crap out of me...and I know I am going to get shot for this...is Carolee Carmello. I can't stand her vibratto, it's so overbearing and unnatural sounding.

Darius De Haas- terible as CC in Dreamgirls in Concert
Christine Andreas- except when she sings in French
Brent Barrett- ruins the recording of Grand Hotel
David Carroll- so piercing on Bway Chess recording

Once Ali Ewoldt gets up into her upper register, her voice is beautiful, and a straight tone that high is basically impossible. But her vibrato before her break absolutely kills me.

Esparza's isn't great. But not terrible. I only notice that it is bad when I listen to the cast album because when you see him live, his acting draws your attention away from ANY imperfections in his voice.
