Oh pish, vish, I'd pay hundreds for it!

This is a total and complete fabrication. I know first hand that Michael Crawford signs his full name both privately and at the stage door all over the world and has always done so. Regarding POTO, I have proof via photographs and video footage that he signed on a daily basis at stage doors during his run as the Phantom in London, New York and Los Angeles. As for him not signing fully for cast members, on a recent BBCAmerica program called "Cash In The Attic" one of the cast members of "Barnum" had several peices of memorabilia from the show signed by Michael with his full name.

Each year I work the Michael Crawford International Fan Association table at BC/EFA Flea Market in New York. Michael is sent between 150-200 items to sign for this event each year and he does it. Last year we raised $5000 on the day to help fights AIDS from signed items. And this is only the tip of iceberg of items he signs for charitable causes.

Yes, I'm a fan and there are those of you out there who are going to jump all over it saying that I'm someone who is so besotted that I believe Michael Crawford can do "no wrong" - but this is not the case. What I have posted here is FACT not fiction.

Broadwaylilhead, can you explain what compels you to post such rubbish and then cowardly hide behind it by saying it was something you heard from a friend? I'd really like to what makes people like you tick - what kind of kick you get out of spreading malicious and damaging rumors. I fully understand not being a fan of a certain artist and not enjoying their work but why the compulsion to malign that person just because you don't like them?

When did I ever say I did not like Michael Crawford?

I'm not cowardly hiding behind anything. My comments were clear. A friend in the show said that he only would sign their poster with "Michael", even when asked for his full name and my roommate who tried to get a Phantom CD signed at the DOTV stage door was politely declined from Michael but would gladly sign their DOTV Playbill.

I've nothing against Crawford or what he signs.. I was just reporting what I heard..so CHILL OUT

I just want to say welcome and happy posting to MCFan. Mr. Crawford is a favorite of mine as well and it floors me when I think of all of the abuse he has taken over DOTV.

I have all of his CD's and listen to tracks from ON EAGLE'S WINGS almost every day at work. Gotten some very nice comments about it as well.

There was a Dance of the Vampires rehearsal bookbag and a toboggan from Phantom of the Opera that were/are only given to that cast members that I have always wanted...Oh well, maybe I'll find them eventually!
