In the history of theatre, we have seen many talented people make Broadway debuts. Unforunately, some make their debuts but never perform in starring roles again, and get stuck with chorus roles or possibly just come onstage from time to time in some non-speaking roles. Who is your favorite amongst those who perform once in leads and haven't been given the opporotunity to recieve starring roles again? My personal favorite is Becky Watson from By Jeeves. She made a fabulous Madeline.
I know that she's had more than one lead but I ADORE Kelly O'Hara and wish she would work non stop!
I would love if someone wrote a new, original musical for Bernie, or Patti.
And no. A "Patti Lupone Gypsy" revival for Bernadette doesn't count as a new role for her.
Linda Eder please!
I'd like to see Stephanie J. Block in more roles. I'd also like to see Mary Testa in more roles and deservedly, in leading roles.
After listening to her singing on the OBC's of "A Little Night Music" and "Company", as well as "The Baker's Wife", I would have loved to hear more Teri Ralston.
Stephanie J Block and Kelli O'Hara have been almost continuously employed for at least half a decade. They hardly qualify as underemployed. What's next: will someone suggest that Sutton Foster doesn't get enough work?
Ya Sutton has been working straight for the past since 96'

Nancy Opel in more LEADING Roles!
Also: Jeannette Bayardelle, Donna Murphy, Kendra Kassebaum, and Jennifer Laura Thompson!
I think Victoria Mallory should have had more roles. She was in the original alnm, as well as Follies, and I believe a Sondheim revue. I just love her voice, though!
Perhaps Ramona Mallory will go on to get many more roles, hopefully. Their voices have a similar quality, but different. Call me crazy, but I actually love Ramona's "squeakiness." It just works for the character of Anne in alnm. Naive and dreamy, full of whimsy.
I'd love to see these actors in some great plays or musicals, drama or comedy.
LINDA LAVIN

Charlotte D'amboise needs to be in another musical ASAP... Maybe a originating a role?
Charlotte really deserves the chance to originate a role. She is so talented.
Bettyboy, that's a great list.
I'd add the stupendous Cherry Jones and Jayne Atkinson.

First Wives Club? No thanks! Although...I would love to hear a demo recording of the show. If anyone has one...
Not to be too much of a downer, but, obviously, Laurie Beechman.
Then Alice Playten and Pamela Meyers for the belters.
And Carlin Glynn.
And again sadly, Jack Cassidy. I know he had many leads, but he died too soon and he was so cool to watch. And of course, so was Bobby Van....
I'll stop now.
Lisa Brescia. Lisa Brescia. Lisa Brescia. I think she's just wonderful.
And whatever happened to Jennifer Piech from Titanic?
