BTW: there were less than 20 replies on the original thread. But between this one and Adam's FB, there are nearly 700. If the silly man had just ignored it, it would have gone away. As it is, I bet there's a bunch of people at that theater tonight eager to see how he performs and if he screws up.
I will note, however, that there are several fewer posts on Adam's FB page as he has removed his own replies including the "SH*Thead" one and challenging folks to see him in person at the stagedoor.
I wonder if anyone will report on his performance tonight? Because if there's any pressure, he put it on himself.

Jordan, my experiences with Nathan Lane was well publicized when it happened. However, that was a few years ago, probably before you were born.
Oh really? You and Nathan were palling around town in '77?

Likely his agent, publicist or the Weisslers themselves shook some sense into him.
Since Adam is known for not doing the stage door (so he can get home to his family), I'd say that's a total publicity setup.
Here's the apology link (I didn't believe it myself): https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10151485393255875&id=6585825874
Oh lord. I don't want to read the entire thread. Am I missing anything?

Wow. I didn't believe it until I saw it for myself. Glad he did it. Too bad he put himself in the position where he had to do it.

"I never understand why some people get snotty about other people remembering the things they've posted in the past, like reading retention is something to be shamed over."
And remember, nothing on the internet ever dies.
77? Jordan, you look much younger in your avatar picture.

Nothing that matters.

Not a damn thing, DAME. Synopsis, Winstom 89 saw CHICAGO. Adam Pascal, as Billy Flynn, dropped a line or two during a number and froze up. Winston posted about it and the general state of the show here in a fairly civil manner. Pascal reads it and his head explodes on his Facebook fan page, hurling insults and spewing venom everywhere.
broadway guy decided it would be a good idea to report this, and a large portion of the board went insane for the day.
Pascal thought better of it, apologized (sorta), and deleted the nastier posts he and his fans made.
THE END

Let's see if NPH references it all on the Tonys. All Broadway is abuzz about Pascal in Chicago.

"Becky, please stop attributing what others said to me."
I was responding to your quote of whether something more could have triggered it (not knowing if you were around 17 years ago when it all started). The rest was just continuing commentary of the situation - not attributing anything to you after the quote. Did I miss something?
Adam can post apologies until the cows come home.
The fact is that he still thinks you all are a bunch of whiney d-bags.

I'm late to this little soiree. I can kind of see where Adam's coming from. The original post is kind of nudgie and know-it-allish what with the reading of the minds of the creative team and the "If I Ran the Zoo..." pronouncements.
But then to have Broadway's current Billy Flynn implying that said poster was some loser sitting in the balcony really cracked me up. Because that's where the losers sit and everybody knows it and Billy named it and the shoot started getting really real.
Also, the posters who then insisted on referring to him as Mr. Pascal cracked me up even more. Like all formal and whatnot.
Please don't ever let this thread die, not to mention the very important issues raised herein. I keep picture Adam emoting angrily on mountain in New Mexico and it releases endorphins.

Shall we put the teapot away now? I think we're done with it.
FindingNamo - As one who referred to him as Mr. Pascal, I do that for everyone. I don't know these people personally and to refer to him as "Adam" to me implies I know him. Maybe I am wrong but that is the way my parents taught me many years ago.
capnkidd - excellent synopsis - lol.
I don't know why people on here are surprised when Broadway stars and creatives point out that the Broadwayworld chat board is bitchy and nasty....it is bitchy and nasty. Sure not everyone, many are lovely but the usual suspects can be awful. Not saying Winston is one of them (though certain things about what he put were not bitchy but were a bit OTT to an actor dropping a line) but I agree with Adam's sentiment if not his ridiculous rant.
But will this Bruhaha perk up the box-office? ADAM WHO?
