Isn't repetitive mocking over a long period of time the very thing folks on here have maintained constitutes bullying? Thank you, Ghostlight, for bringing Craw's years-old campaign out in the open.
Sounds to me like Pascal's explosions, however ugly in themselves, are better put into perspective when one understands the years of posts like Craw's and who knows how many others like his that lead up to it.

You're right, Yankee fan. I might be the only one who does understand Adam's rant.
Again, my whole attitude towards this brouhaha circumvents Adam's rant, or whomever replied to him on fb.
My problem is the message I got from our thread here. For some reason, people feel that because they paid for a ticket, they shouldn't have to be subjected to F*CK ups. They're being too harsh on Adam because he screwed up.
And why do I understand Adam's rant? Because he's a human being.
Some posters think he has no class if he's going to rant like that. some think he needs to find another profession (HAHA, ridiculous). Some think he needs a thicker skin. So? We all have our moments. I feel for him that his moment has become such an issue.
Adam Pascal: A guy who looks like Jeff Conaway and is only marginally more talented.
Quite frankly, reading his FB posts he may have more in common with him than that, too if you catch my drift.
Personally, I find the amount of extremely personal details people on this board seem to know about each others lives, and from years ago nonetheless, a little more creepy than any behavior mentioned on this thread.
This is hardly the only thread it happens in, but I do wonder why people store details about complete strangers' lives in their heads for years on end. Aren't there more important things to think about?
Kelly2, that's not what you said back in August 2007.
"I feel for him that his moment has become such an issue."
He made it an issue.
Yep Kelly, there are more important things to think about. There's room in our heads to think about all kinds of things. At my age, I'm happy I can remember anything.
I'm pretty sure you're addressing me since the pm I sent you.

LOL, Ladyjeans. That was an affectionate ribbing. Back when I still liked him.
I can't believe people are trolling my old livejournal posts, and ascribing these really sinister motivations to things like Ladyjeans.
It's like as soon as Adam Pascal is the topic of conversation people lose all ability to be rational.
Kad, the 14 pages here are ours.
"Kelly2, that's not what you said back in August 2007."
See, this is what I mean. You have no idea how old anyone on this board is or was during certain events and I would imagine we all have certain things we did as teenagers or children that we are not particularly proud of. To take an isolated incident in someone's life and hold it up as a touchstone relevant to who they are five, six, seven years later is ridiculous and silly. We are ALL hypocrites at some point in our lives and a lot of the time that's because we can see the error in past actions and work to rectify them so they don't happen again.
I'm sure craww and many others on this board see the immaturity in the way they've reacted to criticism or drama in the past and have since improved their behavior. But it would be impossible for anyone on here to know that, since you DON'T actually know anyone personally or know their life, so it seems ridiculous to me to get so personal.
I'm not defending anyone's actions or saying I agree with any of the things done/said in this thread, I'm just saying to go after someone's character over information gleaned from the internet that is usually years out of date is unnecessary and does nothing but prove how petty the attacker is.
EDIT: "I'm pretty sure you're addressing me since the pm I sent you."
Jane2, I'm actually not. I'm referring to the comments specifically in this thread, and comments that have been directed at me publicly on this board over the years, not via private message.
Kelly, I was making a silly joke. I wasn't even here in 2007.
Reginald, I wanted to say that I got your joke right away. In case you needed to know that SOMEONE did.
I hate these Broadwayworld chat boards... hide anonymously in front of your computer screen...
Because only someone with all those qualities would come to someones fan page, who they are obviously not a fan of and respond to a post, that is not a rant, but an honest expression feelings... I'm done with with you and hope that you will leave this page and go back to the rock you crawled out from under.
So, don't post here... or there...

"How do you even remember that website if you're not a fan of his? I assumed like a dozen people saw it, and it's been gone for ages. "
A little search engine called google, craww. Took me 30 seconds, and you know it isn't the only one, going at least five years back. I can I assure I was very serious when I said I have NO idea what Pascal looks like nor what he sounds like. I am not a fan.
" you make it seem like I am getting off on the attention that has been directed towards me from this thread. I can assure you that that is far from the truth. I did say that I was enjoying the attention, but I did mean that more of a sarcastic light. I honestly feel that you took it the wrong way. "
You've expressed your enjoyment of the attention you are getting from this more than once - in fact, it was the only thing you said in one post. I think you are being disingenuous by denying that. All that should really prove is that all the people flying to your defense for being "bullied" (under your anonymous name, no less) are misguided. You are, admittedly, enjoying the attention. That said, I didn't think your original post was that bad, and I hope you notice that I recognize that your posts have matured. I appreciate your dedication to the arts.
" The status he wrote is fine but his responses in the comment section is just childish and stupid."
His FB page, broadwayguy, his right (however childish). Has nothing to do with his professionalism or what he does onstage.
Then I apologize for going off. Admittedly, this is an issue that is a bit sensitive for me as I've been lambasted and torn apart plenty of times. Unlike some other people, I can accept the things I've said that were unfair or wrong but I do get incredibly irritated when people try to act like half a decade old actions are indicative of who people are today.

I never understand why some people get snotty about other people remembering the things they've posted in the past, like reading retention is something to be shamed over.
"Reginald, I wanted to say that I got your joke right away. In case you needed to know that SOMEONE did."
the real joke is something that I won't mention but it has to do with a coincidence between Reggie's posst and something that happened here.

Okay. Sure. Those aren't webpages, though. They're separate entries in a livejournal. That's almost like calling every thread on BWW a "webpage". It's just...not the correct nomenclature, so you confused me there.
I don't know why you're really coming for me. You're just Googling things from years ago and pulling them up, completely out of context. For what? To prove that I made immature jokes on the internet? To prove that I'm a geek who's spent too much time invested in various fandoms over the years? Okay.

"mimi6, I think you're a little confused over the sequence of events there. Also, you seem to have created this account back in 2009 for the sole purpose of telling me to get a life, so I don't think any further explanation would sway your bias. I also think you know full well that this is normal behavior for him. Whether you think it's justified or not, you know it's something he's done frequently. Back when there was that brouhaha with Alice Ripley he responded on her Facebook saying BWW was the devil. Well, actually, he said BBW. So maybe it was an unrelated sizeist comment?"
Yes, Craww, I did create this account back then to call you out. Because it needed to be done. And I used this account today to call you out because of your revisionist history. You have been one of Pascal's biggest detractors, in a very public way, hiding behind your anonymity to bash him. Uh, the definition of a bully, right?
Jane2,
I never said nor have I ever felt that just because I paid for a ticket, that means that I expect the show to go off without a hitch. I do realize that I am seeing live theatre and that mistakes will happen. I have seen plenty of them over the course of my years of going to the theatre. What I look for, when they do happen, is how one recovers from them. And, what I did say in my original post on the first thread, was that I felt that he could have done a better job with the recovery. Not that I was entitled to a performance that was 100 per cent perfect to the letter.
Ghostlight,
First off, I appreciate the fact that you have noticed that I have grown and changed for the better as a person over the years. However, I humbly disagree with you calling me disingenuous. In the grand scheme of things I really don't care about this whole situation one way or the other. I guess, the best way for me to describe the enjoyment I have had over this, is more along the lines of, "this isn't so bad." And yes, considering that I there have been times where I have said stupid things over the years, only to be insulted etc by it, I am not going to lie, sure it's nice to be noticed for something positive for once. But, at the same time, I am shrugging it off as this is kind of cool verses getting off on it, if that makes any sense.
ETA.Lastly, in that one post when I said that I was enjoying this a bit too much, I meant the overall mountain out of a molehill aspect that has come from all this, not the attention I was getting.
Mimi and Jane, do you not realize that Pascal is a performer? The first thing most people learn when pursuing a life in the theatre is that you need to know how to take criticism. Pascal clearly does not. We did not invade his privacy, we're a website of theatre fans. No one here dislikes the theatre. We talk about MANY performers on here, and as others have mentioned, most don't give us the time of day...which should be the case.
Jane, unless your kids had their dances broadcast to thousands of people, went on tours, and had sites dedicated to them...this is completely different. Pascal is a performer who clearly allows opinion to interfere with his work. I'm not saying this thread will change his performance, but as a performer, and seasoned performer at that...he should've known better. He even mentioned that. The work comes first, not the opinions of others. I do not understand your defense of him in the slightest.
Mimi, your name alone stops me from taking you seriously. I wouldn't be surprised if, with your sudden return, that you are Pascal. If you are just a fan, make opinions for yourself.

Winston, I said I got from reading the thread that people felt that since they paid for a ticket they didn't expect to see less than perfection. To you, I said you were too harsh on Adam. I hope that clears it up for you.
And I do believe that you're getting off on this attention. You said you weren't going to lie, that you're enjoying it. That doesn't sound like sarcasm.
Listen, I hope you are maturing, Winston.
