^ I'd be more likely to ridicule her for "Hot Feet." *That* was a mess.
"She went out of her way to ridicule Debbie Allen and the production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof."
And for good reason, too! As far as I'm concerned, that production was one big crapfest (with the exception of Anika Noni Rose).

I try to stay away from these kind of threads because I usually just end up being pissed off (remember the thread someone created about minorities not being able to enjoy "white" shows? ). Still, I can never keep myself from opening the thread. Well, I wish I had found comments that pissed me off instead of reading about BigFatBlonde's unfortunate passing. I'm in shock that this happened, I had no idea, why would the people who run this board keep us from honoring and remembering this woman whom I feel gave so much to the board? Her comments were always insightful, funny and smart. Her presence is truly missed. Unfortunately, it has been a long time it seems, but my thoughts are with her partner and her friends.
It really saddens me that this ridiculous aaronssongs or whatever his name is feels the need to make the uninformed, hateful, and ultimately pointless comments he is making. Gladly, we all knew that BFB was one of the few people on the board who could have intelligent conversations about race and theater on the board. Even when we disagreed about CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, I always respected her opinion and knew that it didn't come from a place of racial bias.
RIP BigFatBlonde.
Huskcharmer, I don't think Debbie Allen had anything to do with Hot Feet except that her daughter was one of the leads. Maurice Hines directed and choreographed this masterpiece.

I'd pay to see Keith David in the mask. Yeah, I realize he's a bit built, really, for the role, but I'd go anyway. Wonder what he's up to?
Would have loved to have seen Guilliume. It was wonderful the way they handled his stroke on Sports Night. They held his job and Sorkin wrote Isaac's stroke into the script.
"I'm so sorry to hear that, and also sorry to hear that the thread was deleted, just like the Margo thread a while back".
So sorry to hear about BFB. Please don't tell me we lost Margo as well.
" Why on earth we shouldn't be allowed to discuss and remember members who made significant contributions to our little BWW community is beyond me".
Me too. You're allowed to mock, belittle and ridicule, but heaven forbid you show some respect.

An obvious conservative, who feels threatened by the confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor as Supreme Court Justice.

Really, well the crapfest is going to open in West End in November.
Success is the best revenge.
I really can't tell if you're joking or not.

I know you are, but what am I?

You are so right. And she got the best reviews of the piece.
I'm not moved by haters. BFB was a hater. And I called her on it.
Now she's dead. I'm sorry for her.
But stop making like she was just short of beatification.

Ridiculous?
I find it ridiculous that in light of all the good and the wealth of music that Michael Jackson did, folks can, invariably, find the negative to dwell upon.
Likewise, when someone like BFB, goes to glory, folks "wax" philosophical, about how generous she was, and in denial, of my experience with her, which was adversarial, on her part, and in no way, "kind, thoughtful", or "generous". Let's just be even-handed.
When I go...just tell the truth about me. Good or bad. Just the truth.

The one thing I appreciated about BFB is that she was dogged.
She was unrelenting. And you can appreciate her tenacity.
If she were here, she'd be reading me, and we'd be going at it.
She's better than most you here, that's for damn sure.

I'm thinking wired. It's meltdown week here at BWW.
I think he's pressing Reply to each message individually, thinking his response will appear below it, not knowing that all his responses will come one after another, making him seem like a crazy man.
I think "Missy...hoochie" was aimed at Kalimba, but, honestly, I can't for the life of me figure out who his diatribe on Sonia Sotomayor was aimed at.

I kind of figured that the hoochie comment was directed at me. I'm not bothered by it one bit because he doesn't know one aiota about me.
Come to think of it, someone is just a tad bit defensive. Debbie, is that you?

Miss you, BFB. You would have put this crazy Asshole in his place. You're missed but not forgotten.

Ah, my apologies to Miss Allen, but I coulda sworn she was more involved than that.
ghostlight-
I think the general consensus is we've lost Margo.
Lost, as in...?
No, Margo was not Keith David.
