"Starcatcher, was the lip protrusion really much of a problem? I sized it up and it didnt seem like it would be that bad."

It didn't get in my way at all.

""They start selling from the back of the balcony to the front. Just FYI. The farther back the better.

"

That is F'd up. So the people who get there the earliest get the worst seats and the late comers get the best of the bunch? Makes no sense!"

I don't think you read this right. The poster states the further back in the balcony, the better. I'm assuming because of a front row pole obstruction, but they sell the rear without obstruction to first comers which are considered better seats.

I paid 100 to see WSS in the Mezz and I had to lean forward to see, and the lady behind me  yelled me because she couldn't see if I leaned forward. So I had an awful time. So not looking forward to being in that theater again.

I read it as you should try and get to the back on the rush line as opposed to the front because the furthest seats go to the early birds.

Right. They sell from the back to the front. But the seats in the back are better (which I disagree with), so get there early.

I rushed yesterday for myself and star catchers and got there around 8:45/9am and was about twenty fiveish in line and got D 2 and 4 in the balcony. Other than having to lean slightly for certain aspects of it, the view was fine.

Bump! Anyone tried this week post Tony nominations?

I rushed the show yesterday! I got there kinda late, at around 9:30, and there were about 30 people in front of me; but was able to snag a ticket for the matinee, surprisingly! The seats were absolute crap, but for the price they were better than nothing. LOL

Note: The security guard running the rush line said there were about 26 seats available for each performance.

Where were your seats, exactly?

Balcony, Row C, Seat 1! Literally that little bump where the stairs ended sort of blocked the front of the stage, but nothing really happens there. It wouldn't have been such a bad view, but the woman in front of me sat on her bag and jacket making her taller and kept leaning forward so much that her ginormous head blocked half the stage. Literally had to watch the show by finding any way to look around her head. I got so pissed off after the show when she said she hated it and wasted her time and money on it.......

Oh my God, you totally have my sympathies. It would be irritating enough if she enjoyed it but for her to hate it and still have ruined your experience? Boo.

Surprisingly, it didn't really RUIN my experience, per say. I still saw enough of the show and loved it! I would totally see it again!

Has anyone tried this recently? Specifically on a Sunday? I'm trying to go on the day of the Tonys.

I rushed on Wednesday 5/27 (2 show day); got on line at 8:05 and there was one person in front of me who got there at 8. By 10, the line wrapped around and there were probably 35-40 people on line. I believe they have 28 tickets for each performance; the first two seats on the left and right balcony inside aisles (so, seats 2 & 4 or 1 & 3). I received Balcony row F seats 1 and 3. As others have said, they do indeed seat from the back of the balcony to the front, as the person in front of me on line was sitting behind me and the person behind me on line was sitting in front of me!

I didn't think the seats were great, but they definitely weren't as horrible as everyone is making them out to be, especially since they're only $32. High up? Absolutely. Obstructed because of the lip? Sort of, but not much happens there anyway! The real obstruction is that everyone leans forward so you're forced to do the same in order to see. Once you manage to see through the heads though, it's a good view. Better to be up high to see the dance numbers. I really loved the show!

I believe it's $27, and it is behind the last row of the balcony.

Sorry to ask this again, but has anyone tried this on a Sunday? I've never rushed any show on a Sunday, so I'm not sure when people usually get there (especially since the box office opens at noon, unlike other days). I'm going to attempt it this Sunday before the Tonys, and I'd really love any tips that anyone may have.

Bump.

Has anyone tried recently?

Are they still putting everyone in the balcony or have they started putting people other places?

Rush is still in the balcony and standing room is somewhere up there as well, I believe.

I rushed this past Saturday for the matinee. It was an interesting experience. There were homeless people camped out in front of the doors, so the line started actoss from the theatre at the edge of the sidewalk instead.

I was surprised though, I was second in line for the matinee (they made us go to separate windows in the lobby depending on which show) and I was put in the front row with an aisle seat, instead of being further back like people have said. Maybe it's because it was a single ticket? The lip protrusion got in the way a couple of times but was mostly fine.

Anybody tried rushing for the show lately? Coming next month and just wondering how early I should get there for a Wednesday matinee...Thanks!

I attempted to get a rush ticket for today's matinee just before 1:30, and the person in front of me bought the last one. It's really a mixed bag.

And since I realize I never clarified, standing room is $22 and behind the last row of the orchestra.

Anyone have any updates on this? I was thinking about rushing tomorrow's matinee. Is 11am easily enough! Also, where are the seats?
