The cast is excellent all around.

An upcoming trip to London I have planned is only allowing me to see part one, and if this production is as good as I'm hoping it'll be, I'd be thrilled for a chance to eventually see the other half of it.

Lane is such interesting casting as Roy Cohn that it's hard not to be excited by the prospect of seeing him do the role.

The fact that the revival was occurring, let alone with Andrew Garfield and Nathan Lane, was enough to get me to start potentially planning a London trip. It seems like it would be a surefire hit on Broadway, especially with the increase of high-profile repertory productions (Wolf Hall pts 1 and 2, Twelfth Night/Richard III, Harry Potter), which in theory means audience members are buying two tickets each.

NT Live typically does include the US.

Because of the frankly bizarre scheduling by the National Theatre, out of the 7 days I will be in London this spring, I will have exactly ONE opportunity to see the entire production. Wish me luck!

Typically I'm on holiday in NYC when the tickets for this (and yesterday's Hamilton tickets) went on sale (I'm advance member of the NT) and I had to get up at 3:30am to secure tickets lol I could only afford the cheap seats so ended up seeing it at the end of the run but I can't wait! I saw it here in 2010 with Zachary Quinto and Christian Borle but only got to see part one so I can't wait to be able to see the second part!

Booked this morning, Looks like it will be sold out very soon.

I woke my butt up at 3:20 AM to buy my ticket for this and unfortunately still couldn't get in to the only 2 play day I could do. I bought two single performances instead. Andrew Garfield pretty much broke me in Death of a Salesman and I can't wait to see what he does with this.

That doesn't seem to be the case with ANGELS, though. Nothing else is booked in the Lyttleton at that time. I guess, since AIA is technically two plays, you could say it is playing in repertory with itself. :)

Even so, the schedule is bizarre. Looking at the last few weeks in August, for example:

Part Two is playing the 2nd, 3rd, 5th (evening), 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th (both matinee & evening!), 16th & 17th for a total of 10 separate performances.

Part One is playing on the 4th, 5th (matinee), 14th & 18th for a total of 4 separate performances. (Also, if you see Part One on the 18th, you will have no way of seeing Part Two, as the only remaining performance is a Combined 2-play day.)

Combined Two-Play days are the 15th & 19th (which is the last day of the run).

At least I was able, in the wee hours of this morning, to get a ticket for the one & only day I will be able to see the entire thing. But the National sure didn't make it easy..."

The Combined 2-day tickets are apparently the hottest. You should have better luck putting together separate days, if you can make the schedule work.

Although the National has stated that tickets will be available for all performances when the General Public sale starts on Friday, we have no idea of how many they are holding back. The combined day I got currently shows "Sold Out". I fully expect the National will release more for that day. But pickings were fairly slim last night, so....

You should also be aware that they are using a random queue ticketing system. When you go to the site in the half-hour or so(?) before ticketing opens, you are immediately placed in a waiting room. Your access to the actual site is random once ticketing opens.

I was fortunate in that I gained access to the site shortly after ticketing went live, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten anything. As it was, there were only a couple dozen tickets available for the day I wanted and I had to make 3 different selections before one worked, as other people were obviously competing with me for the same day. It was sorta like playing whack-a-mole with a seating chart.

They made it basically impossible for anyone planning a trip around this to buy tickets in sequence unless you do a two show day, so it makes sense to me that it's the hottest ticket.

Oh fair enough, I just assumed there must be something else on as well given the gaps in the schedule! So odd. I ended up having to book 2 separate days a month apart because all the the 2-show days were sold out. It was very difficult and that is so strange in particular about that final Part 1 performance on the 18th of August!

I wonder why they are not selling them where Parts 1 & 2 are linked even across 2 separate days, as for Cursed Child? There can't be too many cases where someone would only want to see one...

Tickets are added every so often at The National. I do Day seats all the time. The National is my theatre home in London.
