re: Annie Lebovitz's EQUUS photo

Was it Joan Rivers that made the crack that the ticket was bigger?
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

re: Annie Lebovitz's EQUUS photo

I’ve actually read the play and saw a college version of Equus. I really enjoyed the both and am looking forward to seeing the Bway version despite Daniel Radcliffe. I actually think he’s kind of creepy and have no interest in seeing his peesch. I’m actually more interested in seeing Spencer Liff as a horse. Hopefully a shirtless horse ha ha : )

"That picture is SO CREEPY and I'm sure horse isn't liking Daniel's junk on it's back."

Do you understand what you're posting here?

The horse is an animal and doesn't know what "Daniel's junk" is. The play is about what you refer to as "CREEPY" and so the photograph is appropriate.

If you've got an objective mind and an intellect then see the play - and hopefully you'll understand more then.

Well, the horse is naked too. I think he's just grateful not to have a naked Richard Griffiths on his back.

I'd be happy to fill in for the horse if he wants to take a break.

"Perhaps because he has strength of character and isn't bothered by people who make superficial value judgements."

And maybe he's a grower and not a shower. re: Annie Lebovitz's EQUUS photo

This is a very good play, and he's very good in it. I'm going to see it, but I hope that the experience won't be ruined for me by perverts and screaming fangirls.

>I kinda feel a little sorry for you guys. You may be getting Radcliffe and Griffiths, but you aren't getting Will Kemp as Nugget.<

Yeah, well, here's OUR Nugget, Lorenzo Pisoni.

I saw the original Broadway cast with Anthony Hopkins and Peter Firth who were both superb. It's a great play and I plan to attend this revival. Daniel Radcliffe is a terrific young actor and I look forward to seeing how he tackles this challenging role.

Lebovitz's photograph is a perfect representation of the play: Beautiful, disturbing and erotic.

Wow. Ours was still prettier (or at least more to my personal preference re: Annie Lebovitz's EQUUS photo ), but this just adds more fuel to my argument that we as audience members also are supposed to feel a certain degree of sexual attraction to the horses. XD

Creepy photo. Amazing production.
It's a damn fine day to tell the truth!

re: Annie Lebovitz's EQUUS photo

Has anyone actually seen Daniel Radcliffe in December Boys, which was supposed to be his big dramatic debut? It was truly awful. If you've seen any of the Harry Potter movies and experienced his "acting" in those, that is precisely what he gives in December Boys. An amateur performance if I ever saw one. His being "Daniel Radcliffe" is the only reason he ever got this role.

re: Annie Lebovitz's EQUUS photo

hmmm. k. lol. I mean....if I see it. I don't want to walk in with low hopes. I like going into shows with a clean slate. When i first saw Legally Blonde I wasn't expecting much originally from Laura Bell, but I decided to judge it on its own and not use my preconceived notions.

lol. But at the same time...if i saw Equus and didn't like it, i'd be pissed for wasting 100 bucks for what I was thinking would be bad. hahaha.

I suppose I'll wait until reviews come out then. :)

"His being "Daniel Radcliffe" is the only reason he ever got this role."

He had to audition for Kenneth Branagh who was originally going to star in and direct the play, then again for Peter Shaffer and his agent in order to get their blessing and finally Thea Sharrock after she took over.

It was Kenneth Branagh who got Daniel Radcliffe involved with Equus not that long after he invited him to guest star in 'The Play Wot I Wrote'.

No, but I saw him in "My Boy Jack" and I thought he was excellent in that. I also saw him in "Equus" in London, and was impressed by his performance.

Weez, I agree with you regarding Will Kemp. I was a bit disappointed he wasn't going to be part of the NY cast. Can you dig up any photos of him?

je veux te voir2: having read your posts on this thread, I suggest you spend that $100 on a subscription to a porn-site. You're more likely to find the dramatic and intellectual stimulation you're seeking there.

Just to prove he is actually a horse sometimes. ^_^

If anyone British is interested, he's currently Mercutio-ing it up in 'Romeo & Juliet' at Middle Temple Hall (http://www.temple2008.org/ ), continuing to validate my opinion that Mercutio is totally the best thing about the whole play. With Juliet "you'll NEVER guess who my father is!" Rylance as... Juliet. XD

The national tour Nugget was better looking than either of those two, but I'm afraid I don't have his name or any photographs to hand.

re: Annie Lebovitz's EQUUS photo

What, Michael Taibi? ..... I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one, Scrippsy.

Oh wow, the tour had a female horse! Well, that's one way to not have to pay extra for a Jill/nurse understudy, I suppose. ^_^ All male in the West End though.

re: Annie Lebovitz's EQUUS photo

subscription to a porn site?...that wasn't nearly as clever as you clearly thought it was.

And all I said was that seeing as how I was never impressed with his acting talent, the only reason that would even interest me to possibly see it was the natural curiosity that goes with a naked scene. If curiosity of a celebrity being nude makes someone a pervert, then I think everyone is guilty of your definition of perversion. The whole world must be perverts for seeing Britney Spears' hoo-hah then, I'm sure.

But true. I probably would find just as much dramatic and intellectual stimulation from a porn as I would from Daniel Radcliffe's Drama 101 acting abilities. Very brilliant comparison, indeed.
