Just been reading about the new york auditions for Annie. Its comming backkkk laugh! I supose Martin Charin is doing the auditions. Anyone excited about Annie comming back to broadway?
As an added note. Will Smith is going to produce an Annie movie ,starring his daughter in the title role. It is to come out in 2013.
Looks like Annie is everywhere .

^I was under the impression that there was a consensus that Annie was now strictly reserved for elementary school and junior high school theatre. Wrong, once again.

I have just gotten the inside scoop, from a very reliable souce. Patti Lupone will not be playing Annie as presumed, but she was given the role of Rooster Hannigan.

Now they've already had a black Miss Hanigan, a black Grace, and Will Smith is doing a black Annie, so who else can they color blind cast? I'm thinking a Japanese FDR? Chuck Cooper as Daddy Warbucks? Obviously Sandy has to be played by a tan dog.
