I forgot about that. Oy.
Called B&N again.
The guy said that you need to have bought it at a B&N - any B&N is fine but they'll have tons of copies there. You can bring pictures and he thinks that it will be a 1-pic per person limit. He did not seem to think that they'd have restrictions as far as the # of books that you could get signed. That's about it.
So basically you have to have a receipt saying you bought it there?
Yes.
When I get there I'll post here if they have wireless or call Em and let her know the deal.
It seems like everyone says something different. I'll bring the one I have just incase.
That's what I plan to do as well.
So will he be signing first, or speaking first? And do you think it will be really crowded?
Speaking first, then signing.
And what are we considering "crowded"?
I honestly have no idea how many people will show up. NYC Public schools are off this week - so anyone who wouldn't have been able to go because of school can go. But, really, how do people find out about these things if not for b'way websites/myspace and word of mouth?
I am trying to find the number to the B&N, but I can't. Can someone please post it. Thanks:)

Those going to the Cutting Room tonight really look out for it. there is no sign or anything and its covered by scaffolding and overhangs.
book signing is going to be crazy. I can feel it in my bad knee.

It was mentioned in Time Out New York (a listing under the Books section, as well as a reference to it on the DVD ad on the inside front cover).

Ok I just called and talked to someone who had to ask 3 other people but the consensus was that it won't matter if you bring your own book.
"Considering that he has 25 fans this should pose no problem."
um, was that comment REALLY necessary?! *rolls eyes*
I don't see how they can enforce this rumered "recipt" rule...I bought my book at least 4 weeks ago, why would I still have the recipt?? Ridiculous.

If anything just buy the DVD there...so at least you can show them something.
So how long do you think he will talk for before he signs the books, etc.?
Like an hour?
So the discussion will begin at 7? P.s. THanks for answering all of these questions:)
B&N said 7, yeah.

I feel battered. I seriously thought that the fire marshalls were going to shut the place down. Apparently some of the diehards were there starting at 9am, and the bulk arrived around 3.
That aside, it was a great event.
When will this signing take place?
