What are we doing?
Not eating cobbler.
Oh I was totally going to make Vegan Blueberry Cobbler tonight. I made a wicked one for my class last semester... I promised BackAlley I would because she can't be there fore the signing. But I guess blueberries *are* out of season.
We should bring Anthony some specialties from our home 'hood... and by that I mean Swish's bubble tea. Hah.

Funny. I love SF but wish I were in NYC right now. I could meet so many bwwers. Oh well, I had my fun last week, and I'm sure the details of the whole fun filled day will be online anyway.
I'd rather be in SF for the burritos, In-N-Out and the nicer weather! And I'm sure the storeowners in SF were much nicer than the wicked people at B&N. I went to one signing a couple of years ago when Carson, Jai and Thom from Queer Eye were there; they were really nice but the B&N people were very pushy... like "you can't talk to them" "no pics with them" "no personalized autographs." Well, the guys were all chatty, were signing personal autographs, and slipped one of my classmates their number (ha!)
But I guess it is B&Ns job to keep the line moving.

We DO have the best burritos and In-N-out is cool. The wheather has been pretty cold for SF, but not compared to the East Coast. I went to Washhington DC a cuple of weeks ago, and forgot to take gloves. BIGGGGGG mistake. Actually the owner of the bookstore Anhony was at was not nice. Anthony was still signing books when the store officially closed and I was waiting for my disabled paratransit ride (I use a wheelchair, it was in the 40's) and he said no to me waiting inside. 20 minutes later when Anthony came out, he, like a human, was concerned:) Both the owner and Anthony emphasized that names, but nothing else could be written on stuff. However that makes sense as he didn't have forever, and he didn't know most of us. Most people had to come around to him for pics, but with my wheelchair, he came to me. It all seemed sensible to me. The only issue was that the reading was on one end of the store, and the signing on the other (mind you, it was a small store.) so those who came the earliest, had to wait the longest to get their books signed. I thought the ones seated in chairs should go first, then the others, but it didn't matter too much.
Ok, enough of my boring post:)
Lol, BTW, I love the Queer Eye guys.
That's ridiculous about the store owner... especially if there were still people (i.e., he & Anthony) in the store. I don't care about personalized autographs or anything because I don't know him... I just thought it was rude for them to keep insisting during the signing. When I was getting the QE book signed, it was actually for my boyfriend's mother who was recuperating from a surgery. The book was part of a "cheer up" care package because she was down in the dumps since she was bedridden. Luckily the guys were really nice and all wrote "Get Well Soon, Mel!" in addition to signing.
I can't wait!!!
Alix, you're going?! YAY!

22nd and 6th.
aww, I feel loved.
Coincedentally, I bought my copy of the book at that B&N. It's huge! But so pretty.
Well, the theatre section is bigger than those at the B&N's near me, for obvious reasons, and it's wonderful.
(From the parts I was in, I couldn't tell where the signing might be.)
Sorry to ask, but when exactly is this happening?
Tomorrow.

Oh, that makes sense. Since the store closed at 9:30, I felt Anthony may be under pressure to go quickly. I still had a blast, but thought a bigger bookstore open later might have been better. This store wasn't meant for the crowd it got. However, it had a sentimental meaning to Anthony because it was the bookstore he would go to during the filming of Rent.
Considering that he has 25 fans this should pose no problem.
I am thinking about asking my aunt to go and get me a copy of the book and his autograph. I do not want to send her into a mad-house though. Do you think it will be a problem?
I really can't think of it being a "mad house". It's a Tuesday night, most people have school the next day.
Actually, NYC public schools are off this week.
I'm off from school thanks to being on Long Island so I'll be there! And at the Cutting Room too!
This is the one time ever until I'm in college that I'm able to go to a weekday-nightime-broadway excursion :)!
