There was a rumor, back when it was shown in cinemas, that it would maybe come out in time for Christmas. But as much as I searched, there are no news anywhere ! Anyone has any inside info ????

Thanks for the update. I was wondering this yesterday and was going to ask the question myself!

at the stage door of in the heights marcus paul james (think thats right?dont have my playbill with me)said "its coming out again....i think in february" im guessing he meant on dvd but this may confirm it more.
I'm still just so psyched about my Rent experience. The one and only time I went to see Rent on Broadway (this past July before it closed) was also the first time I ever tried Lottery, and I won. Plus the cast for the DVD is the cast that I saw, so that's an additional bonus for me. :)
Thank you for the info
I look forward to adding this to my collection.
where are did people find the link to prove it is coming out on february 3rf or are you just talking crap

Did you miss where I said ANNOUNCEMENT NOVEMBER 24TH??
yeah i saw that but there has to be a place where you heard it from.. unless your making it up
When did it become acceptable on Broadway, for swings to be so RUDE to Broadway legends ???? Some people DO KNOW things around here, my friend, and we know better than asking them to reveal their sources for EVERY single info they are kind enough to share ! You want a site with only CONFIRMED AND PROVEN info, stick to the main page or playbill.com ! It's alright this time, cause you are new, but in time, you too, will see who the trustworthy members are ! But in any case, talking like that and saying someone talks crap is not nice ! Having some manners is soooo much better in a community like ours !
Very Well Said Greek Musical Fan.
Oh, we are, aren't we ?

Greekmusicalfan, you made me smile. I think it's kind of unacceptable to be rude to anyone, no matter what. And to be so suspect is just silly, even on this site. But I love how you put it - people should respect the Legends a bit more. :)
I don't see why we should respect someone more just because they're a Broadway Legend. Those headings mean nothing to me. Respect should be earned.
CATS, it's not because they are a Broadway Legend. I didn't say that ! God knows we have some Legends here, that many of us would love to smack LOL. But when someone who has posted many many posts here and thus earned the legend status, is questioned rudely by a NEWBIE, who knows nothing about the way we talk here and the special relationships we have between us, then yes, I think they should be corrected !
I see this community not as a faceless internet board, but as a gathering of friends. I saw the WONDERFUL way I was treated by EVERYONE I met in NYC, through this board !! I became friends with so many people, thanks to BWWW !! I don't think many internet boards are like this ! People here meet, greet, hang out, know and LOVE each other in real life too !!! EVERY member who visits NYC, no matter where he is from , knows that, if he'd like, there are some great people to hang out with when he visits !!! And every New Yorker has friends waiting for him all over the globe, thanks to this site !!
So, if you were with a big company of friends, who you may not always agree with, but with whom you have shared many conversations and someone you didn't know, walked in and started being rude to someone of your group, wouldn't you take their side ???? That's how I feel, anyway.
Ok, rant over

Thank you for asking, I was wondering about this the other day. The hot ticket web page said to check back for DVD info so I assumed something would be announced sooner or later.
It is nice to have a link or source for any news not confirmed by the main page, and asking for one is ok, especially since a lot of info here is often misguided or simply rumors.
thank you jimmy. and to all of you who thought i was being rude. i wasnt. you cant tell emotions through the internet. you just can't. and when i did something on here for 13 the musical people were like asses and mockijng me because i like that show and jimmy you are right when everything on this website isd practically a rumor or misguided information. so i really don't feel like i was rude at all since you cant really tell because there is no inflection in my voice(hello, we're on the internet), and there was nothing special in my wrting to say that i was mad or anything.
You essentially accused someone of making up information. Perhaps we have difference ideas of rudeness, but where I come from it's considered very rude to call someone a liar.
