I missed it when it came to my area, so I hope to catch it in Broadway, preferably.
If you hope to catch it on Broadway, why do you want to know if it will be touring next year?
It's part of the Broadway Across America season next year. It's coming here to Norfolk for an extended run.

Ok, blaxx, did you notice I stated "preferably"? I just said I "hope" to see it in Broadway, preferably, but my question was, will it be touring, since my chances of seeiing it in Broadway are slim...
Down with that?
You didn't make that very clearm....
Yes; James Barbour will be playing the Wizard.
that tour is not ending anytime soon
You ARE aware that the tour and the Broadway production are 2 separate productions? Seems some people actually think the Broadway production closes and tours. The touring production is a separate production and has its own cast, etc. The Broadway production doesn't close to tour.
They literally believe that slogan: DIRECT FROM BROADWAY!
And yes, the TOURING production of WICKED isn't ending anytime in the far future. Its still going strong and great seats to the touring production are more difficult to come by than the Broadway production, so that should speak for itself.
Here is a link for some dates (thru July 2009) for the WICKED Touring Production. More dates have been added since but they are not listed on this schedule: https://www.broadwayacrossamerica.com/BAA.Web/Pages/TouringShows/index+ShowId+807.html
Coincidentally, the tour will be coming to Indiana.
I read that as India.
NICE!
"Yes; James Barbour will be playing the Wizard."
And all girls under 18 can go to his dressing room after the show for some "Fun"!
"You didn't make that very clearm...."

I heard the tour was closing for 6 months and then returning as non-eq so they might be able to turn a profit finally.
hahahaha
Wicked is on extended runs in Chicago and LA, plus I feel confident that it will tour next season, since it sold out in Detroit which can't seem to fill seats for anything else except POTO, so there seems to be plenty of interest still.
Meet the tours newest stars!

Oh!! Candy Star!! (S)he's playing Glinda in the touring production next year. I worked with herm in high school in Gypsy. The best Baby June ever!
No, we don't "knows" anything!
Anyone knows if Wicked will be touring five years from now? If not I'll just go see it "in" Broadway, but preferably - thanks.

LizzieCurry and SpellingBeeFan4Ever...I guess you cannot accept that James Barbour has genuine fans? Well, he DOES.
And I think it will get old if every time I post something you will respond with a Barbour irony, don't you think? You know, I am a fan of many OTHER performers and shows as well, so hang it up, will you, kind of silly(that includes you Blaxx...), and you are perpetuating a myth by now.
Thanks, BrodyFosse123 for the info, it is well appreciated, and it will serve for some of my friends who live in Pittsburgh and Atlanta----Yes, I am aware that Broadway and the touring company are two different productions, thanks.
Oh lighten up! James Barbour jokes are fun. If Idina went to jail for rape, you KNOW we'll all be cracking jokes.
Wait... she didn't?
Well, there was that one time at band camp....
Ah, yes, band camp
