He is.
But he has also been out an inordinanate amount of times since the show started last fall, as it is I believe Buddy is the only track that has a cover (A.J Holmes) because Boyer is out seemingly every other week

Do you think babies just magically appear? His wife has been pregnant since this show has gone into previews. I'm sure I do not have to explain how that could be a sensitive time for an inumberale amount of reasons. I'm glad the production gave him a cover.

What the hell are you talking about? Every role in the show has one or more covers, as is customary. If he had a kid recently then no s&%t he's going to be out for some performances before and after that. This isn't 1955, people miss shows. Their personal health, mental health, and family health is more important than your opinion of their attendance schedule (especially when he is not a star actor who is selling tickets). Go touch some grass.
Standbys: Colleen Fitzpatrick (Kimberly), Jim Hogan (Buddy), Betsy Morgan (Pattie, Debra), A.J. Holmes (Buddy); Understudies: Skye Alyssa Friedman (Delia, Teresa), Miguel Gil (Seth, Aaron, Martin) and Alex Vinh (Seth, Aaron, Martin)
(I don't know why some of these folks are classified as Standby vs Understudy, but that's irrelevant because they serve the same purpose; if anything, this show could use MORE understudies as insurance, but they seem to have been fine in the heavier Covid-times so who am I to judge.)

I was at Parade tonight, there was sustained applause for the company at the start of the show, and I imagine more enthusiastic applause for the leads during the show. It still was on TKTS for 50% off.

Notice Buddy is the only chacater with two standbys
Many people have been in shows with pregnant partners, hell some people have been IN shows while Pregnant
He has a bad performance track record, and why don't you go "touch some grass"

Back on topic. . .
Have enjoyed my “Tony Tuesday” tradition for years, and this was no exception. Kimberly Akimbo was full of energy - from the security guard outside who kept chanting “We Got Five” to the candy necklaces, the Playbill stickers, the opening standing ovation, the entrance applause, the curtain call with the delightful and joyful anagram and celebration of everyone involved in the show - to the show itself with all the feels and a cast that seemed to be floating on air.
it was a treasure of a night celebrating a gem of a show.

Rude. You should delete this bullsh*t comment. Congratulations to Steven and his lovely wife tho!"
Prior to your post they did apologize. So quick to jump down someone else's throat it amazes me.

Side note: Has Betsy ever gone on for Bonnie? Also, I've seen on IG that Emily Koch (married to Jim Hogan) is a Pattie/Debra u/s) ...wonder why she isn't listed on the website.

I believe the day before the Tony awards, Betsy may have gone on for Bonnie for both Sat performances. I read somewhere that Bonnie was fighting off a cold and couldn’t hit the notes but it might have been the only time she’s been out.
