Then what is your problem?? Why do you keep bringing up other things I said?

Um, I haven't said anything to you on this thread. And the other thread, I told you we were cool after you apologized so I have no issue with you. We have no problem. It seems you are not remembering the resolution there. Seems like you are trying to find drama where there isn't any and want to fight me even though we are good.

then can you tell everyone else blasting me to STOP? Please. I don’t deserve this.

Oof. Do you think I have the power to tell the world to stop blasting you? I don't. I have no control over what people's reaction or opinion is of you. Only you have the power to stop playing victim and saying "you don't deserve this". You sound like a child having a tantrum. Step back, breath, maybe take a break for awhile and then reassess? Like you did regarding Beetlejuice. That seemed to work out well, sometimes it takes people a few days to realize they were wrong or had an overreaction. I urge you to take some time because you are not getting anywhere in this thread.

Then what is your problem?? Why do you keep bringing up other things I said? You keep dragging it out, bringing up quotes of other things I said, calling my stance arbitrary, or stupid, or hypocritical, or ridiculous, implying my work is stupid or not accurate? Then maybe you should reach out to people I work with and tell them we’re wrong so we can do it correctly according to how you-someone I’m guessing doesn’t work in health care or in anything COVID related?- can give your “correct” information. Stop invalidating what I’m saying. You make me feel like ****. And yes you can help it by not responding anymore. Please, please stop. You say it’s noted and understood, then can you tell everyone else blasting me to STOP? Please. I don’t deserve this. I’m not a victim but you and others sure aren’t treating me with respect or anything. Can we just stop???? Please."

You are clearly addressing the wrong poster as, once again, I said nothing to you in this thread. I think your post is clearly directed at the other responses here since none of things happened that you are stating.

Okay I’m only responding because I know no one cares, but all this accusations about me spreading misinformation and calling my stance arbitrary, saying I don’t know what I’m talking about, implying I’m stupid in some way is really offensive. I realize none of you care at all about my feelings-you have made that abundantly clear. But a post like this doesn’t mean you can offend people. It doesn’t mean you can say “oh you’re sensitive you don’t belong on these boards where we can treat people like garbage”. This isn’t playing the victim. So cool it with that.

You can walk around without a mask-if you choose to do so. We’re still telling people to wear a mask. COVID isn’t gone, and there are variants. People are still getting sick, or they’re contacts of people who tested positive. At the stage door, no, you shouldn’t be going to the stage door even if you’re vaccinated and wearing a mask because it’s a small enclosed outdoor space where people have taken off their masks (most likely). It’s strangers next to each other. Yes, restaurants are indoor spaces, but they have ways of ensuring the health and safety of patrons-outdoor dining areas, I think some have outdoor pickup? There are options with dining to stay safe. With the stage door, it’s very hard to control the amount of people there. Especially if someone hears a big name is there and people who may not be vaccinated (how would you know?) come by if they happen to be around that theater.

^By the way, this isn’t FACTS that I wrote there. This is my OPINION on how things should be handled. If you have anything else to say, spare me.

How many of you are vaccinated? How many of you still wear a mask? How many of you actually care about someone other than yourself (I’ve been vaccinated and continue to wear a mask no matter where I am). None of you are perfect (yes I’m aware you haven’t said you are) so stop acting as though I’ve committed a federal offense. It’s enough.

Good. Because at least I know respect. I got provoked and upset at other posters. I realized what you wrote and yes, it wasn’t directed at you but some others. I’m sorry that i misdirected those comments. I exploded because I just had it with the accusations at me, the disrespect. I’m sorry you got some of that directed at you. Literally nobody has called you stupid. We have positions that run counter to yours and have explained why and you have at every turn flown off the handle about it. You're not being treated like garbage, people are disagreeing with you.

And yet... you have continued to ignore the fact that the people at the stage door just sat shoulder to shoulder for 2.5 hours with people in an enclosed theatre of 1500+ people. You're not getting COVID from someone on the street unless they're literally coughing in your face, but if you're comfortable with attending theatre there is no need to clutch pearls over people being a stage door. Considering people are doing the exact same thing congregating outside the theatre exits.

^By the way, this isn’t FACTS that I wrote there. This is my OPINION on how things should be handled. If you have anything else to say, spare me.

And honey? People disagree.

I've been vaccinated since January and wear a mask where I need to. If you want to continue wearing one everywhere, then great and that's on you.

Nobody is acting like you committed a federal offense, it's that you literally cannot handle a discussion that runs counter to yours.

ahh okay so they’ve respectfully said something like “I disagree” instead of saying my comments are false information (which they’re not), using an offensive term to describe my comments (I can’t remember what the exact words was). There are respectful ways to disagree with people. Y’all’s ways are something you need to work on.

I’m not ignoring that and I do see what you’re saying with that point. I guess my concern is that we know those people have been vaccinated. We don’t know someone is vaccinated who randomly comes up to the stage door. COVID can be spread through the air (at least as far as what studies have recently said?). You can correct me if I’m wrong about that, but I do believe they recently said either COVID or the variant can be transmitted through the air. So if you’re close to someone, yes, it is possible that it could be spread.

^By the way, this isn’t FACTS that I wrote there. This is my OPINION on how things should be handled. If you have anything else to say, spare me.

Please don’t “honey” me. Go away with that.

And y’all can’t learn to express yourself in a way that doesn’t hurt people’s feelings. Don’t you dare say “well that’s on you”. It’s not hard to disagree without saying someone is spreading misinformation, that their point doesn’t matter…just…learn to discuss respectfully, maybe?

It's transmitted through the air. It always has been. The likelihood of that happening in an open air area (like the street) is an incredibly low risk situation. Far less risk than being inside a theatre with these people for two hours where much of the air is just being circulated (I know air conditioning has been revamped in theatres to make this better but it's still not great). Possible is not the same as likely. A lot of things are possible. You getting hit in the street by a car getting back to your hotel is possible, but the situation is not likely so my concern for it is significantly less.

Nobody was even talking to you while you responded to people with hysterics and a passive aggressive attitude. People responded to you in very even tones and then you started calling people selfish. That those stage door people were the ones that are going to get the show closed again. Your very just misunderstanding of what COVID Transmission is actually like given what you said up top you are VERY misinformed if you're just understanding now that it's transmitted through the air.

I wear a mask everywhere I go also.  You are right.  Anyone from the street can see a crowd gathering and get behind the barricade.  You have no idea, what health issues they have.  If, and that is a big if,  I decided to stage door, I would be wearing my mask.  If I was any of those actors exiting, I would be wearing a mask, until I got to my car or away from that crowd.  I attended a concert last night at a small venue that was suppose to have a mask policy in effect.  To my surprise, they changed their policy and with the exception of a handful, majority were not wearing a mask and not social distancing.  I asked the House Manager for a refund.  She stated no refunds.  I had her relocate my seat to a section that didn't sell.  Which she did.

Not that it's any of your business, but I am vaccinated. I also wear a mask, most of the time when I am not in the privacy of my home: at work, in stores, in restaurants - even though I am not required to. I am around too many people every day to risk passing anything to my elderly neighbor, my son or even you. Will I wear a mask when I'm finally back in the city? In the hotel, in the theater, certainly...but I haven't yet made the decision to do so just out and about and OUTSIDE. Would I if I was squished up with people? If human traffic through the theater district is already back to pre-pandemic levels? Yup. But that's my choice. And I've been doing that since May of 2020.

I'm going to guess MOST of us here have been vaccinated, why? Because we are mostly intelligent reasonable people.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
