Visiting NYC next week and I need recommendations for dramatic work or comedies on Broadway and it seems that, with the exception of Harry Potter (which I've seen), there's an absence of plays. Last year this time I was able to see "Leopoldstadt", "Death of a Salesman" and "Ohio State Murders". And in the spring I saw "Pictures From Home," Good Night Oscar" and "The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window".
I loved Purlie Victorious, as did many others on these boards.
Appropriate begins previews on Wednesday at the Helen Hayes.
Yes, there are.
I Need That
Purlie Victorious
Appropriate (from 11/29)
Potter
plus Off-Broadway, which usually has MUCH better offerings for plays.
Looks like you're just missing Prayer for the French Republic. Starts previews mid-December
Purlie is tremendous.
