They may not have done stunt casting for Elphie/Glinda in the USA, but they have with foreign companies.  I.E. when they mounted the production in Mexico they cast Danna Paola as Elphie, and she was more known for her tv work/modeling.  

I agree with you that they don't need to start stunt casting now, but if they were to, I'd love for Kelly Clarkson or Demi Lovato to be cast as Elphie.
