We could be looking at the disparity in a positive way. I suppose working with Stephanie, instead of going right into it with a younger actress, will help Annaleigh equalize and iron out old kinks in her portrayal.
Don't you think you'd be better off just plain ignoring my posts if you really can't stand my rambling that much?
Then she couldn't make an example out of you while simultaneously attempting to elevate herself as a prime example of a "mature" younger fan. It doesn't seem like that's gonna happen any time soon, so just don't take it personally.

Are the rumors about Carolee Carmello as the next-next Elphaba true? Because there was a thread about that here and it was deleted awful quick...
I know you.

To me, Block is old news. She's Elphaba'd the hell out of that part, and eh, I suppose it's congrats to her.
I'm more excited for Ashford. That girl is the cutest thing in the world.

I was wondering the same thing because its true i mean honestly the site administrator doesnt delete the rumored thread about lea michelle going to wicked. But he quickly deletes the thread about carolee playing elphaba which in this case is a fact not a rumor. To tell you the truth I dont think that they want it getting around like the Stephanie and Annaleigh going to wicked did, but i think it needs to because she needs all the support she can get because she has big shoes to fill with some of the past elphabas and shes gunna bring the house down!

Perhaps. We'll all believe when we see it, Wicked6.
Although, believe me, I want to believe you with all my heart. I'm a HUGE fan, and I have been waiting for Carolee news ever since I became obsessed with Parade!
I do indeed think she is leaps and bounds better than Wicked, but I think that this will be an INCREDIBLE opportunity for people who wouldn't normally encounter the force that is Ms. Carmello to experience her! I really hope this opens doors for her!

These mods are getting more and more ****ing rediculous. They deleted the thread about older people you'd love to see in Wicked. What the hell??

no they deleted it and honestly its ridiculous because if someone can post a rumored thread about annaleigh going on as elle they should immediately delete it because it wasnt true. Here the thing they know its true about Carolee and its a big secret right now and the mods dont want it getting out and they'll deny it being true till theyre blue in the face. Is anyone on the same page as me? people post rumored threads all the time and they dont shut them down as quick as they shut down the thread about carolee in wicked

Oh, look! The thread about Phantom closing...gone. No, no, no, I'm not going to believe that. Like the Carolee-Wicked issue, I'm not even going to think about it.
I know you.

I'm excited to see this pair in the show because I think they are both immensely talented, but at some point, they're going to have to start to cast both roles age-appropriately. Block isn't old but Ashford's youth is going to be glaring when they share the stage.

Ah so this is true, I first heard about this in July when I was talking to a cast member in the London production and apparentley these two are on Broadway until februaryish and then next july/August they will bring the roles over to England once Kerry Ellis and Diannae Pilkington have finished!

Does anyone know what week Stephanie will be taking off to get married?
And, as far the age thing I think if people don't know how old they are no one would guess there's that much of an age difference, especially on stage with all the makeup and stuff. Personally, I think Stephanie looks about 5 years younger than she is, and Annaleigh looks about 5 years older.

Stephanie was great here in L.A.
And I have to ask all of you Wicked-crazy fans... why do you think Elphaba and Glinda are the same age? You of all people should know better.
Nessarose and Glinda would be the same age, since they are both starting school at the same time, and the only reason Elphaba (her OLDER sister) is allowed to go to college is to look after her younger sister during her first year.
So it would be Nessa and Glinda that are the same age... and Elphaba would be older than both of them.
If you're going to call yourself fans... then do your homework.

Within a month, we will have a whole new Delta Nu sorority (no original members of the trio).

Looking back she was my least favorite Elphaba (I saw Julie Reibler in LA and Eden in NYC. I saw Steph in LA).

b12b - EXACTLY! I'm glad somebody gets it.
groovy - guess we'll have to hear more about 9 to 5 before coming to any conclusions on that one.

Exactly b12b! :) And considering Elphie's old enough to remember Nessa being born, I'd say probably 4 or 5 years difference.

Stephanie was my all-time favorite Elphaba. When I saw her in Washington, DC back in January 2006, it was the best time I had ever had at WICKED. She and Julia Murney are the best I've seen. I feel so lucky to be able to see Julia's final performance as Elphaba and then Stephanie's first NY performance two days later. I will be in WICKED heaven.
