I'm so excited about this...I haven't wanted to see Stephanie is the role for awhile...but im just alittle worried about the pairing of Annaleigh and Stephanie...I think they will both be great but im not so sure how they will do together...we will have to wait and see
I said it on another thread and I'll say it here, AnnaLeigh Ashford will look like a daughter to Block, not her schoolmate. I'm happy that Ashford is getting this chance, IMO she's wasted in Blonde. More importantly, I guess we still care who the 18th replacement in Wicked is huh?
This is awesome for Ashford! LOVE HER! AS for Block, does she really need to be in Wicked again? I wonder if they are going to be as weird as I think they are working with each other.
judging from...that site, i actually think Annaleigh is good, i mean, she isnt the strongest Glinda, but I think she'll do well opposite Stephanie theyre both pretty tall-looking.

I'm glad for them. Stephanie said it would be nice to work with her hubbie for a little while.
At least now Bastian doesn't have to wait around for her to finish signing autographs. He gets a fair amount of giggling girls at the Stage Door I hear. I'm looking forward to funny stories about that.

Ashford's abilities have improved considerably since she coverd the role on tour. I'm sure she'll be leagues better now than she was back then.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
congrats to both of them. Legally Blonde will have a new replacement of margot. I am seeing LB again and was wishing to see annaleigh again but oh well...shes in the neighborhood. I wish them both the best of luck.
AHh I hope I get to see them!!! This will most definitley be an interesting pair! But the two in their own right are fantastic!
Annaleigh is going to be one of (if not) the youngest actress to play Glinda!
hehe. She is definitley one of the youngest...but Erin Mackey actually first took on the role when she was 20 (Just turned 21 in June). So she is currantly the youngest principal ever in Wicked. Hehe. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Does anyone else find the open door policy at Legally Blonde strange? I haven't heard about a show letting so many people leave so early into the show's run. I mean, it just opened in April.
hmm.. don't get me wrong, Stephanie seems awesome, and I'd actually be interested to see her performance, but just as far how they'd LOOK together on stage, I'd much rather see Annaleigh and Lea together. Simply because Stephanie's quite a bit older than Annaleigh, no? So it would be a little akward since Annaleigh is so young. Since Lea's very young too, THAT would be perfect :) But for Stephanie they should find someone who's a little older and it would look a lot less akward.
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
I dont' care that she's older. I love Stephanie J. Block! I was soo mad to see how she was replaced on the tour right before it came to Philly! I am glad that she will be doing it on Broadway too, I'm glad she is coming back!! And Ashford should be an interesting choice too. I think she would make a good Glinda, but I am not really sure about how her real voice sounds like... is that her real voice in Legally Blonde, because it seems too nasally for me personally. Great for Margot though.

When Pirate Queen closed I posted here that I was afraid I would be out several hundred bucks if Stephanie J Block ended up doing Wicked on Broadway, because I would absolutely have to take my kids to see her as Elphaba.
Are school supplies really that important?
I thought Steph was convincing playing Grania as a young girl in PQ, I don't foresee any problem with her seeming old.

Stephanie looks fine as Elphaba. By the way, why does Elphaba have to look like she fits in with the other school kids? Isn't the whole point that she DOESN'T?
