Saturday at 6pm in the Gershwin Alley outside Circle in the Square, there will be a gathering to celebrate K-POP On Broadway and members of the Broadway community.
“The entire Asian community, especially in New York City, has been through trauma, fear, and grief like we’ve not seen in decades for the past few years. This year celebrated the first Asian female composer and Asian-centered story told by 99% Asian cast on Broadway.”
Open invitation to anyone interested in supporting.
I’m so glad this is happening. I can’t go myself, but please go and support if you’re able!
“This year celebrated the first Asian female composer and Asian-centered story told by 99% Asian cast on Broadway.”
Are they saying that KPop was the first Asian-centered story with nearly an all-Asian cast on Broadway? Because that’s… untrue.
I paid full price to see KPOP and took 5 friends to see it with me, and saw it twice. That's how you support a show...they should have paid to see the show and maybe it'd be still running next week. That's how you celebrate a fabulous show like KPOP! I invited a ton of white and Asian friends of mine to see it and everyone had a reason not to come.

I think some articles are missing. It was a quote from a social media post. We know this is not the first mostly-Asian cast.
