It's not the FULL cast -- it's 5 people. Did you read the article?

Well, presumeably if there were a mistake, it would have been on the production’s end, and therefore would have been sent to all the publications.
I acknowledge that it’s unlikely, but to me it seems more likely than Brandon Uranwotiz getting cast as Czolgasz. So bizarre. He is so wildly wrong for that role, and he would be a perfect choice for Guiteau. Meanwhile Swenson as Guiteau...kind of works I guess? But he would be much better as Czolgasz

I have the aching suspicion that this production might be closer to his Passion. I can see them wanting to make this an event in time for Sondheim's birthday. At least I hope. His last few productions at CSC have been mind-numbingly flat, one-note, and boring.

The cast maybe stellar but the casting does seem a little odd. Judy Kuhn as Squeaky Fromme? I love Judy but I’m not sure I’d buy her playing 27. And the age difference is usually quite integral in the relationship established with Sara Jane Moore in their scenes. In fact it’s only Steven Pasquale as announced that makes total sense to me on the page. But heck, it’s a great group of actors so colour me intrigued.

As all these characters are based on real people who could pass for white (all born in what we would consider white countries and most being born in the US, minus Giuseppe), so I don't think most directors would really push for a cast with more POC.
Then again could this show would have some more intrigue with a mostly POC cast (with the exception of John Wilkes Booth, as I don't think his bigotry in his Ballad really hits as hard if he is other than white, maybe? I could be wrong about that)? The show has a lot of similar themes to Hamilton (America, immigration, outsiders telling their story), so a cast of color could fit in very nicely. Still you would need a director aiming for that, which Doyle is not.

Oh yes I must have read that while half asleep. Thanks for putting me straight.
It’s still odd - but LESS odd. An agreed about the waste of her vocals.

I agree on Judy Kuhn being a bit of a waste here (though I'll definitely see her anyway). I get emails from Classic Stage Company and they just had headshots of the actors with no roles mentioned in the email, and Judy Kuhn and Will Swenson were the two biggest pictures with the rest underneath, so I thought for a second that Judy Kuhn was going to be playing the balladeer, which got me really excited. Though I wonder if they'll still go an unconventional direction with that role anyway since it hasn't been announced yet.

I feel as if the same could be said about Victoria Clark, and she was one of the brightest spots of the 2017 Encores! production. Singing aside, there's still a lot to sink into with Moore, and I look forward to seeing Kuhn take it on.
I would still love to see what Julie White, who was originally announced for the Encores! run, could do with the part, but I guess the chance has passed us by once again.

Same. Christ, this is like a fan's dream cast. When does this go on sale? I might just spring for the Future Classic membership to hopefully guarantee a ticket.

Hard to say for members, but judging for Macbeth, single tickets went on sale mid-August, so Assassin singles might go on sale around February. Members get first pick so my best guess would be late December, early January.
