On playbill.com under who's who in the cast, Rick Lyon is no longer listed. It says that Nicky/Trekkie is being played by someone named Christian Anderson. Does anyone know if Rick Lyon has left Q?
I find that sometimes playbill.com is behind with their casting lists..
on broadway.com Rick Lyon is still listed and I believe from what people've told me he's contracted through July 3..
There probably would've been an announcement or something had he left..or maybe he's on vacation for like a week and that's why Christian's name is up? Sorry, I really don't know, just guessing.

on the avenue-q site it still says hes there now i wanna know too!
Word on the street is that Mr.Lyon has been out in Las Vegas helping that company with the puppets
But everyone in Q has been ill lately
He most definately has not left the show
Yeah, I didn't think he would just up and leave without any type of announcement. It's just that I'm going to see the show again in March (I saw it already back in January), and Rick was so great.

I saw Christian Anderson on Sunday night. I thought it was Howie until like yesterday when I checked my Playbill. He was very good. Sounded just like Rick-which is good for people who love the cast recording/original cast.
Rick was there two weeks ago!

I saw the show on the 15th. Rick Lyon is no longer in the Playbill and Christian Anderson is listed in his roles. He was very good, though. After having seen Rick twice, Christian was no disappointment. It was also my first time seeing Barrett Foa. Amazing! A plus.
Playbill.com also mentions Alexander Gemignani as Brian. Anyone know what happened to Jordan Gelber?
~Steven
Damn. My favorite Brian was Peter. He was terrific.
Well I do know that they're about to have the auditions for Vegas cast...so maybe he's helping with that...but he better come back!
Better would be to give that role to Peter.
Peter is hysterical. I loved the surfer dude Brian.
He is such a talent.

I saw Christian Anderson in THE FULL MONTY tour about a year and a half ago- he is excellent... I'd like to hear him sing Trekkie, Nicky, Bear #1, et. al. lol
Whoa! I didn't recognize the name until now but that's also who I saw in the Full Monty tour! Don't remember him specifically but all the guys were good, so I'm sure he's great! Corine, you don't like Rick?
Yup, I saw Alexander Gemignani too. He wasn't bad but he wasn't nearly as funny as Jordan Gelber was. Where did he go?
Hey, I actually shadowed the stage manager at Q at yesterday's (Sat) matinee.
Christian was in the show until this evening while Rick was on vacation. Alex was on because Jordan was also on vacation (his last night is also tonight I believe).
The reason they didn't use the understudies is because they are testing people out for the possibility of Vegas. - Christian is REALLY good by the way. Everyone at Q seems to want him to come back to NY soon but he says he might end up in Vegas. Apparently lately with the casting they are putting less emphasis on puppetry experience and if the actor seems to have some talent they send them to a week of 'puppet school' and then they want to test the out in the full show as soon as possible (that's what happened with Christian).
So I think that's everything I know! I hope to see Christian again soon!
Thanks for the info! I'm glad Jordan will be back soon.

Good to know, thanks for the info. (totally just rhymed)
Christian Anderson? Really? Loved him in The Full Monty tour... I'll be selfish and hope he gets to play the roles in NY, so I can see him!
Who was Christain in TFM tour? I saw it in FL a year or so ago.
Thanks for the info...I'm so glad that Rick and Jordan will be back for Saturday..I loved them both when i saw it in January, and I wanted to make sure that my friend (who hasn't seen it) got to see them.
broadwaystar - Alex was in Assassins, he played Hinckley. (I actually know him from that so if was a lot of fun to see him again, and big surprise.)
And maturedignity - I'll be selfish with you. I loved what I heard and could see from backstage of Christian and I really want to see him do the show again!
