I am interested in buying the AVENUE Q book from Amazon.com and am wondering what you all think of it before I buy it. I know it sheds and (in case some of you don't know) people have used "hairspray" to keep the cover from losing hair. lol. I have seen some customer pics and book scans from Amazon and the Avenue Q website and was interested in seeing a little bit more. Thanks. :)
My mother owns one, and after the plastic it came encased in gave out (it's just packing material), she started keeping it in a ziploc bag. It's a very clever, interesting book that tracks the whole creation process of the show.
Thanks. Has she tried using hairspray? Some Amazon reviews say they used that.
BTW Anyoneknow where I can find a bigger version of this:

The book is great. Yes, I did put three good coats of hairspray on it and it has never lost fur. Not only are the stories great, but you get the whole script of the show. It is well worth adding to a theater library.
I'm not understanding the trouble with the fur. Mine has never shed any fur and I never did anything special to it. I just take good care of it, I guess. Hairspray sounds gross. Wouldn't it make it all flat and crusty?

No, it does not have any bad effect to use hairspray on the book. There was not trouble even when I took it to Toronto to get cast autographs.

what hairspray did you use on the book? This sounds better than keeping it in the plastic.
I really enjoyed the book. It was a really fun read.

I used the spray I use for my hair "Consort" extra hold.
Thanks. I think I might try doing this to my book.
Definitely worth getting, is a fantastic book!

Thanks for the hairspray tip , mine has been been shedding.
Also FYI for anyone planning on buying it - I recently got it at Borders (33rd & 7th in NY) for $5 .
