Glad to see Kelli Barrett has a new gig. I wonder if they'll ever bring in that Jeff Buckley R&J she was in in Williamstown.
Ok. I love Beth Leavel so much. But i think i'll skip.

I was wondering what Beth's next project would be after Elf--she's great--I want to see this!

I remember how there were people saying that deciding the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical this year would not be so exciting. Beth is terrific at everything she does and hopefully she will be nominated for that award to create more competition.

Another show ("High" was last week) that got tepid (or worse) reviews out of town and now comes crawling to Broadway. Attractive performers and old-school classy tunes won't be enough to make this one a hit.

I've never heard of this show, so I'll stay optimistic about it's success. But yay for Chelsea Morgan Stock. I saw her in The Little Mermaid and although the show was bad, her voice was beautiful.
Congratulations to Beth, the hardest working woman in show business!!!
Lots of talented people on stage, but the kiss of death for me is this piece of info: "written by Tony nominated book writers Mutrux and Colin Escott, the team behind Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet." I've noted my extreme dislike of MDQ on this board before--the single piece that I felt took it from not very good to downright terrible was the hokey, haphazard book. I still think that show could (and should) have been fun but was dragged to the ground by inept writers. This might be the first new musical on Broadway since The Addams Family that I simply can't bring myself to attend.
could be the next sleeper audience hit, or a disaster.
Leavel will be nominated, I think. Even if the show bombs, she'll be solid. Along with Sutton Foster, Donna Murphy, and Patina Miller (the latter of which will likely win)
I just threw up in my mouth.
Nice to work on a show for a year and see it go to Broadway without me.

That sucks, Diva. And that's showbiz, kid.
Anyway, this throws a tiny wrench into the Tony race.

Looking forward to this show. It sounds fun. Beth Leavel is always so fantastic! Perhaps it could be the next Jersey Boys. Does anybody know if Jersey Boys got good reviews out of town? Was it a sleeper hit?
Jersey Boys received strong reviews out of the gate and pretty much across-the-board raves on Broadway.
Can I just say that is the ugliest logo ever?
I may see this solely because of the possible parallel to LEADER OF THE PACK.
Beth Leavel is certainly an upgrade on the actress who played the role in Pasadena but even she will not be able to salvage this one.
What was wrong with Meghan? Other than she was a much more beautiful version of Flo...
Here's the COMPLETE new version of the logo for Broadway:
