Tonight!

BANDSTAND Reviews

This show looks intriguing -- I love swing, and that era in general. I have an NYC trip coming up, so I'll be keeping an eye on these reviews!

Tickets are available for opening night tonight. I was able to grab one. I'm looking forward to it.

I refuse to accept this thread. No one messes with LimelightMike.

Caption: Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.

Looks like someone beat him to it this time

I thought the Paper Mill reviews were too kind.

I'm seeing Bandstand this weekend so I hope it gets decent reviews!

OP - it looks like you're new to the board... there's a tradition that LimelightMike starts the Review threads. Just like Broadway Concierge starts the Preview threads... Of course you're welcome to do as you please, but just in case you didn't know. It seems redundant to have two going at the same time.

That being said I sincerely appreciate your enthusiasm!!

To be fair... that's not so much a tradition as he/she randomly started doing it significantly ahead of each show's first preview just to be the first one to post.

Thank you.

I started posting Previews threads two days before a production's first performance because that appeared to be a good amount of time for some users to get their seating/rush/general show questions answered prior to the first preview. Also, I thought it made things pretty organized by having a consistent formatting for each production. Sorry that I somehow annoyed some of you by doing so.

Edit: in any event, this is the thread to post Bandstand reviews in! — https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.php?thread=1100905&dt=7

I cannot believe some of these posts are from actual adults. I worked with 5-8 year olds at YMCA camp for three summers, and never saw this much pettiness.

Some of you people are too f@#king much. What the hell difference does it make who starts a freaking review thread or a preview thread? If this is the biggest thing you have to whine about in life, then you need to get one. A life, that is.

Four stars!! Wow!! I saw BONNIE AND CLYDE four times (LOL) but my love for LAURA OSNES has waned recently... wonder what the rest of the reviews will be like!!

For what it's worth, I don't particularly care that Broadway Concierge has started preview threads recently. Somebody has to! It's not something that bothers me lol. My issue was with the word "tradition" as though it's been that way for a long time.

dear god people. must you take every word that is written here and dissect it to death? "tradition" - ok maybe not - but who the eff cares??? all I was suggesting.... and being very polite about it.... is that someone else normally starts a thread for opening night reviews and by starting another one we have exactly what we have now.... two threads running on the exact same topic. It's just simpler to have one isn't it??

Whatever.... let's just bounce back between two.... or let's start a third one shall we??

Excuse you. The reason you have two threads is because the original poster on this thread posted this at like 8 in the morning. Thus, the review thread was created.

Then, Limelightmike or whatever his name is came on at around noon or so and posted a secondary thread.

He could have said "oh, there's already a thread started", but he chose to post it anyway.

Unless you are a paid employee of BroadwayWorld, you do not have a monopoly on starting threads.

The whole thing is so totally ridiculous.
