Some people on this board seem very quick to jump to conclusions, and I'd rather not point fingers, but it seems to unfortunately happen often. Anyways, Bandstand seems great! I'd love to see it before it closes, but I just came back from NYC, so it's unlikely. I definitely think theaters can have a negative effect on your enjoyment of the show, that's unfortunate that you had to go through that."
Dude, you didn't say could possibly be or leads you to think it might be, you said "This is a real shame, one of the best shows of the season with an absolutely beautiful cast recording.". You can try to "revise" it now, after the fact and try to make everyone think it's everyone else's problem for overreacting or you can be intellectually honest and own what you said, that you decided a show you've never seen was one of the best of the season. You're certainly entitled to do that and others are equally entitled to point out how ridiculous that is.
Though in fairness, Tony voters might think you're on to something. Instead of having to schlep around and actually see all these shows before voting on which one is best, they'd love to just read the wikipedia entry to see the plot and who's in it and maybe listen to a few songs off the cast album, vote based on that and call it good. Soooo much easier.

Thanks UncleCharlie....I was starting to believe I wasn't reading what I was reading. Words matter. However I don't believe his intentions were bad. But words matter and he kept defending what he said. As far as blocking people and not liking how people respond... You won't do well in the real world if you can't deal with different people and how they react to things.
