and west coast episodes of Full House. I love it!
Oh my gosh! I love Full House. I'm obsessed. I grew up on that show. In high school, I was playing pictionary and I had to draw John Stamos in 45 seconds. I totally made it. It's legendary now. For graduation, my friend gave me a large John Stamos poster to celebrate my amazing artistic abilities (haha, once, I had a friend fix a stick figure I drew, that's the extent of my artistic abilities.)
Yeah, so I love BARE!!!! Can't wait for November. Hopefully get to see it twice, cross your fingers.

So tired. Just got home from seeing The Woman Upstairs and Jeremy Kushnier in concert with Trisky.
New Life Plan:
Marry Jeremy Kushnier and have 10,000 of his interracial babies.
I liked The Woman Upstairs a lot though it's definitely a work in progress. The lead actress, Deb Heinig, was phenomenal. LOVED Alison Fraser. I remember her from The Secret Garden.
We're still trying to figure out which character Michael would have played had he stayed with the production. He would have played either the blind violinist (who was the male lead), the hip hop rapping younger male singer or the little brother. Hmmm. He would have sounded amazing playing any of the roles but the violinist was an older character I thought, I can't imagine Michael rapping (though I would give up my first born child to see that) and the little brother had such a small role. The mind boggles.
All in all it's a good show with some really great songs. The show needs some tightening up in places and some aspects need to be made clearer but I would definitely recommend it.
FB, I think you'll like it when you come down on the 2nd to see it! :)
Then we headed to the Jeremy Kushnier concert. He was fabulous. It was really like one long jam session with all of us sitting on the floor (okay I sat and Trisky stood) but it was such a laid back kind of vibe. Jeremy gives good show. :)
So unbelievably tired now. Will answer PMs and e-mails in the morning!

Sounds like a good question to ask him at the next event!

Perhaps Michael was supposed to play the lesbian boss. Hee!
I am currently trying to picture him playing the rapping waiter/student and the only vision I have may give me nightmares tonight!
I'm beat, but had such a good time tonight in all of its random weirdness.

*SIGH* There is nothing like coming home from a nite of drinking to your Bare family, left over Thai, and west coast episodes of Full House. I love it!
LOL! I was totally watching Full House before I went to rehearsal last night!
any plans to see the show when (if) it opens?
Mesmerized, I can't believe you just said that! It WILL open!!!
Ladies - So glad you had a great night!!!!! The random weirdness and the show sounded like fun, wished I could have joined! Glad you think I'll enjoy it on the 2!
Now, I'm going to take my shower and attempt to picture Michael rapping.

Posted: 9/24/04 at 7:57amI ended up with two tickets to Altar Boyz tonight (after asking on here)and now my boss had to back out for tonight because she is sick. Do either one of my fake gf's want to come with, even though you are seeing it tomorrow? It is at 11. I know you are both exhausted and I know there is only 1 ticket, so if either of you don't want it or can't go, that is cool. Just thought I would offer it to my "fam" before I put up a new message. Have a loverly day!

OK, new game. (Mostly because I'm bored at work)
If you could change one lyric in BARE, what would it be, and why?
Mine:
In "Warning"
Could this really be my child?
My first born, my child
Who lay in his cradle
So tender and mild...
becomes
Could this really be my baby?
My first born, my child
Who lay in his cradle
So tender and mild...
Why:
1. It flows better. 2. It's the better around of syllables. 3. You're not repeating child twice. 4. A baby lies in a crib, so it's bringing the allusion to Christ earlier!

I'll play!
Actually, I always thought that part sounded a little strange too, but I always thought:
Could this really be my child?
My first born, my son.
But I think I like yours better.

Posted: 9/24/04 at 5:55pmYeah, I know, but I preferred the non-repetition over the same-word rhyme. But your solution fixes both, so I vote for that.

I GET A FAKE BOYFRIEND TOO?! SIGN ME UP!
And I have a question. In You and I, what does Peter say when he says the line "I think the best act in school is blah blah blah"? This would help a bunch!

Newcomer, I am so sorry that I didn't see this before! I didn't have time to go to BWW.com before I left this morning so I didn't see this on time.
Hope you found someone!
Just got back from seeing Town and Gown and Steve's "The Big Voice: God or Merman". Trisky and I LOVED it. It was hilarious and touching and inspirational. And Steve and Jim are so full of life and passion about everything. I HIGHLY recommend it and I hope that all of you can get a chance to see this show!!
Steve, you're so great! :)
And this is so totally on topic because Steve LOVES Bare! :)

So sorry fake husband, I didn't check the thread before I left. I hope you had a good time and picked up a hot boy though!
Besides I think I would have fell over in the theater after Town & Gown (slept through part of Town, but laughed my ass off during Gown - even while cringing during the performers pointing out MoG and myself as being the young ones in the crowd, median age there was about 82), then Wimbeldon (I'll save you all $10.50 and tell you to hop, skip and jump right over this asstastic movie) and then capping it off with The Big Voice! There's only so much sitting this lazy behind can do.
Steve, thank you so much for coming to the thread and sharing your passion for Bare and also the word about your show. It was such a heartfelt, funny, touching and inspiring raw piece of work and I wouldn't mind at all if you and Jim decided to adopt me.
It was such a pleasure to meet you both afterwards!
The best I can say about Steve's show, to put it into context for you all, is that it touches the same part of my emotional makeup that Bare touches. Try as I might, I'll never quite put my finger on it, but will know that I'm somehow profoundly moved and changed for having seen it.
