Jack, you bought your ticket already? Oy vey brotha, way to wait for the roommates! Chrissy and I are waiting to hear from the two hotties N&R (oh how cute their initials match Michael's song...) about whether they want us to get them tickets or not.
Haha--yeah I ordered tickets b/c I thought we were on our own with the tickets...sorry I jumped the gun I was overcome with hotness
i saw 2 cast member os bare to day.. michael arden, and john hill.michael gave me a really big smile
Aww, that's sweet. Michael has the most beautiful smile. Where did you see them?
it is a great smile
but on to hte real reason I'm here I hate my family and I hate the holidays
try here to find out y
Hola folks. I went to the Promise of Hope benefit tonight, all by my little lonesome. It was just me and my screwdrivers! The entire thing was really fun, hosted by our very own EddieVarley who was terrific (and whom I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say hi to).
Jenna performed "Come To Your Senses" and totally blew me away. She was also very sweet. Everyone give it up for Jenna! BTW, I think I was one of about three people who got the joke Eddie made when introducing her and mentioned she was joining the Wicked touring company as Nessarose and that they should cast Bea Arthur as Elphaba. This is how you know you spend too much time on BWW.com.
Adam performed Edwin McCain's "I'll Be".
Natalie performed Beautiful by India Arie. She also did A Whole New World with Adam and may I say, I may never listen to that song again without thinking of Natalie's boobs? Natalie makes me laugh. I think it was mentioned that Natalie/John/Adam are writing a show together. That ought to be... interesting, especially if it involved the testes of dogs.
There's a special place in Swing Heaven reserved for Scott Allgauer whenever he swings his last hip in the chorus many, many, many, many years from now and it's not called Akron. He's such a sweetheart, really. If JCS comes near your town, please go and support him, I know I will be!

Ok, as if the fact that I wasn't there wasnt bad enough, She had to sing "come to your senses" I LOVE THAT SONG!!!! I bet it was beautiful, as soon as I read that I thought wow she would do that song perfectlly!

There is no such thing hon!

Hey everyone...can I jump into this thread?
BlueWizard, i saw Michael walking down 52nd street. and i was freaking out telling my mother that that was Michael Arden on the other side of the street. He was laughing and then smiled over at me. Then i saw John Hill, in Hairspray, i missed him afterwards but i did see him walk out.
Hey all! I just got back from three days of gambling in Atlantic City. The moral of the story is that I shouldn't be allowed near blackjack or roulette tables. :/
Anyhoo, sorry I couldn't be there for the benefit Trisky! I would have loved to hear Jenna sing "Come to your Senses" and Eddie Varley be Eddie Varley!
And we will definitely go support the Scott-age. I just opened up my e-mail with the dates of the tour and they're totally doable! Fishergirl, SCB Wannabe - it looks like we got ourselves a little trip! I'll e-mail you with the dates. :)

Hey BwayTheatre11! Welcome. :)
Okay, I have to unpack and count all the money I no longer have! :P
Welcome back Chrissy! I look forward to planning our itinerary :) If it is do-able.....but I am sure something can be worked out...I wonder if Mr. Furley, the friend guy with black hair and Mrs. Furley are going to come? TTYS

Welcome back, MOG! Sorry you didn't win big. If the Casino always wins, why is Trump filing bankruptcy?? Anyway, I thought you were going to be there longer. I am oblivious these days.
Thanks for sharing the details of the concert Trisky. It was such a good cause, I hope they were able to make alot of money off it.
I just did some checking & it seems JCS will be in Baltimore at the end of the year....hmmm? Maybe I can go!! I've never seen JCS on stage, so it would be great to see it, even better with the one and only SCB there.
Okay...back to work...
Then i saw John Hill, in Hairspray, i missed him afterwards but i did see him walk out.
Oh lord... I just checked the Hairspray website and see John is listed in the ensemble. *covers MoG's eyes* So I take this to mean John has returned to Hairspray? Anyone know how long he'll be in it (cries at wallet)?
Jack, Chrissy I missed you all being there last night, but how nice for me to be able to sit in the back, chill and not be subjected to being photographed. Jenna was fantastic and I still have Eddie singing Suddenly Seymour in my head. Oh and Natalie, can't forget Natalie who had some serious heels on!
Now we just have to figure out how to go about actually buying tickets for JCS, so Scott has some love in the theater!

Um...you do realize we're going to see Hairspray like 100 times now, right?

I'll figure it out because we are so going! :)

Thanks hon and we actually cut the trip short by a bit just for the sake of saving money! LOL Had a great time though!

Hey All, ok I have stood back for long enough.
Firstly Trisky I am sorry I didnt come over and visit with you last night at Promise of Hope - I thought it was you but I was not 100% sure so my apologies.
Secondly, John Hill will be performing the Role of FENDER in Hairspray until January 26, 2004.
Hope to see you all at Rockers on Broadway
Oh, OperaGhost, I don't know if we've met before (and if we have, I apologize) but you should have come over! I was just twiddling my thumbs and stirring the vodka.
Thanks for the information about John! Is it wrong for me to admit that I want to see him in a dress?? LOL We'll have to try the lottery and squint to try and see him onstage!

According to the folks putting on this concert, Christopher Sieber and Daniel Letterle will NOT be appearing at the 'Kitchen Sink' concert after all. Meantime, Kristopher Cusick has been added, and it still sounds like a helluva lineup.
Update from Showcase series

This makes me so ridiculously happy. Thanks for the info OperaGhost! :)

Thanks for the update Wayman_Wong. I'm a bit disappointed but I'm sure it'll be great! :)
Awww... no Chris Sieber? That's a shame, I really enjoyed him in Chicago! But the rest of the lineup is still fantastic, you just can't go wrong when you've got people like Michael, Jenna and John on tap.

I was wondering about Chris Seiber. He's listed on the 'Miracle on Lafayette' on the same night at Joe's Pub.

I bought tickets to the show at Joe's Pub before I knew about the Artist Showcase. Oh why can't I do both!! My friend wants to hear X-mas music & me too. But I so wanna here John, Jenna, & Michael sing. AAHH!!

I know!! If it were just me, I'd drop Joe's Pub & go to the showcase event, but my friend wasn't too enthusiastic with that idea when I mentioned it to her. Maybe I'll buy tickets & spring it on her last minute.
John in Hairspray! Must find a way to spend another night in NYC so I can see it when I am there in Dec.

This is literally the best news I have heard ALL day!!! Thanks for the info!!! I wonder how long he has been back in the show, anyway I guess it dosen't really matter, but now I know at least one of the two shows I will be seeing the Wed. after Easter Rising!! I just love it when things actually work out!!
MOG - Glad that your back, sorry that you didn't come back rollin' in it!!!
