You're welcome hon. I feel an obligation to make you all feel like you were there, since I know I'm incredibly grateful to get to do so much stuff in person.

Trisky - You've got a heavy load on your shoulders - you have to carry the weight of keeping ALL of us 'out of towners' who can't make it to this stuff in the loop! Luckily I'm just down in DC and can hop the train up from time to time, but it ends up being too much drama for quick trips during the week!

It's no hassle at all! I could gush about Michael/Bare all day long. Besides I know if I were the one out of town, I'd want someone who could fill me in (like anyone in L.A. right now who'd like to tell us about John in Hairspray, for instance
). I've got nothing but love for Michael/Bare, so spreading it isn't that hard!

BT - I am in DC as well, but am tempted to make a quick trip during the week to see BARE in Bryant Park on Thursday. Last time I was in NYC, my 2 night trip turned into 4 nights due to Michael at Joe's Pub. Of course I can only go Thursday if I get lots done here at work and today I have been preoccuppied with all the Michael at Opia talk...must close internet...

Faile - DC's theater scene isn't too bad, but ah, to be in New York... I hope you get your work done so you can head to the big city on Thursday. Wish I could hitch a ride!!!

Oh to be in NYC...I wish I could relocate there so bad. Maybe next year. I wish I had more time to see some of the stuff in DC, but most of the time I'm just too busy. Of course I am too busy to check the seen around here partly because I plan insane trips to NYC to see things there!!
I am ushering at the Studio Theatre this year which should be fun. Some of the plays they have scheduled look really good.

The Sondheim festival in DC last year was great and the Tennessee Williams this year was good, but it would be nice to just run down the street to see stuff like Wicked or Bare or any of the great cabaret stuff.... But luckily we have the eyes and ears of these folks to keep us up to date!

I'm really going to close my internet after this...
but I missed the Sondheim Festival last summer because I was out of the country for much of it, but I caught all the Tennessee Williams plays and enjoyed every bit of it! I especially liked the one acts they did in April/May. I was so glad I splurged and went to see all of the festival. If only BARE would come here & I would be content with DC.

Ok, seriously I am soooo sad right now that I missed the concert last night, but I know this has already been said, but Trisky, MOG, & NYSinger1, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for the early Pic's and the great Reviews!! You truly are the best!!
I just have one question, it seems like the cello player in the pic that MOG posted last night, is the "new" drummer from the last Bare Concert at Joe's, is there anyone who can confirm this, I am just curious if we will be seeing more of him he was really great on the drums at the concert if it was him?

Hey APgal. Wish you could have come with last night!
And I'm not sure if that's the drummer from Joe's Pub but whoever he was, he was really hot. :)
Just dipping my foot in the shallow pool...again.

Actually Adampascalgal, Sean McDaniel was playing the drums last night (I believe he's the new drummer, no?). The cello player's name was Peter.

OK, I did some "research", and it seems when John is introducing the band at the concert he says that the drummers name is John McDaniel? I am just trying to put 2 + 2 together, because if I remember correctly when I was waiting to take my pic with Michael after the show I remember him saying something to the drummer about playing the cello, so I think it must be the same guy!! I wonder if he will now be part of the Bare Band, or if he was just filling in? I am not familiar with who was on drums previously in the band?
MOG - THANKS so much for wishing I could have been that that is soooo SWEET!!!

Trisky we must have been posting at the same time, THANKS for clearing that up!!! It is all making perfect sense now, John must say "Sean", not "John" McDaniel on drums. That is cool if he is the new drummer.
Thanks again!!
