wow.. sounds like a GREAT night. I SO wish I could have gone...
I wish you all could have been there. We so have to make a Bare Thread get together.
Broadwayguy, my friend was drooling over Adam the whole time :)
And can we talk about the faux-hawk Michael is sporting? Could he possibly be the most beautiful person ever? It's possible.

Michael is always adorable!
Adam is always HOT...
It is hard for Michael to fall into hot because as gorgoues as he is, he has such an innocent looking face........
Any innocent face he may have had, went straight out of the window with him putting that mic in his mouth!

now THAT I would like to have seen!
I will refrain from further commentary as I may get in BIG trouble.
Take a moment and visualize...
Though I should amend my previous post and say even with that move, he somehow made it seem like it wasn't quite as naughty as it was. I get the feeling that as long as he keeps smiling he could be saying/doing any number of things and never seem guilty of being anything but pure. LOL
BTW, Adam looked great last night and sounded great too!

Complete angel face!! That's why some of the stuff he said on the SiriusOUT Q interview was so hilarious...I couldn't imagine someone with that face saying those things...lol! He so looks like the part of Peter!
I've said this once...or 10 times..., but it bares repeating...Thanks MadeofGold & Trisky for sharing your wonderful stories!!

I just looked at the pictures posted by BWW- Did Michael sing the other part in N&R? He must have he's wearing the scarf!! This messes up my entire "fake" memory i was building in my head of actually being there last night!
bobbystrong-Is it possible to say i hate living in Michigan too much?
I think not!!!!!!!!!! remember it could be worse at least it is still possible to get in a car and be there overnight, which I was soooo close to doing yesterday!
Yeah I understand. Although the thing about driving is you need money and you have to take time off work and then theres the driving to NY alone when you have never been to get past your parents. Although as it has been discussed there are ways around that. Haha!
And I still need to hear the radio interview with michael =(

So Michael sang the other part in the N&R song! I would so love to hear him sing the other part.

This is totally serious now. I've made an icon change to Michael. Le sigh.
Here's the set list from last night:
1. The Road (from Easter Rising) - sung by Michael
2. Final Letter (opening number from Easter Rising - sung by Michael (I cried, not sobbing, but had to dab tears away sniffling.)
3. Another song from Easter Rising (don't know the title, but just as a guess, given the lyrics, I'm Not Afraid) - sung by Luther Creek
4. Taking the Wheel (a John Bucchino song) - sung by Michael
5. Stand With Me (from a show called "The Wheel" he did a reading for, along with Kaitlyn Hopkins, the composer's name is Brian Ross Lowdermilk) - sung by Michael
6. Another song from Easter Rising (again don't know the title, guessing maybe Just Now) - sung by Brooke Sunny Moriber
7. All U Can Eat (Ben Folds) - sung by Michael
8. A song from As You Like It (first song Michael ever wrote) - sung by Michael
9. Still Waiting (from Easter Rising) - sung by Jenna Leigh Green
10. N&R - sung by Michael and Adam Fleming
11. The Prologue (from his new show, Ripley, an adaptation of The Talented Mr. Ripley) - sung by Michael
12. What Is To Love (from Ripley) - sung by Brooke Sunny Moriber
13. This Is Your Life (penultimate song from Easter Rising) - sung by Michael
14. When You Fly (last song from Easter Rising) - sung by Michael, Adam, Brooke
15. Anytime (cut song from A New Brain - William Finn) - sung by Michael
incredible pictures. jenna looks tan? she must be enjoying her summer! And of course adam and michael, what can ya say! Amazing! so sad I have to miss these.
Thanks for all the information from the people who were fortunate enough to have gone!!
Thanks Trisky for posting up the songlist. You are so the best partner in crime a person can have. :)
And the band sounded wonderful (and looked really great) as well. And now with Craig's photos....heart really explodes with thel love.
Actually I think Jenna's face just got really red during that song. It seems to be an emotionally taxing song to sing. She's still beautiful despite that! And big props to her for actually wearing her glasses on stage. As someone whose contacts were itching like crazy last night, I was wishing I had my glasses with me instead.
The pictures are fantastic, and so light, given how dark Opia is. That's why I could never be a photographer, we'd be trying to make the shadows in any pictures I take.

No more John!! OMG...the shock!! I figured you would make a slow transition, have a pic of Michael & John together...but straight to Michael. I guess thats what John gets for going to LA and not being at Opia last night with Michael...lol...
Rock on, whoever took those awesome pics!!!
Thanks for the set list Trisky. I need to bring a pen and paper next time to write them down....
Funny you should say that Faile. We were wondering if Adam was a last minute replacement for John on the two numbers Adam sang. Not to take anything away from Adam himself, but it would seem natural that if John were available, that he'd do the N&R song with Michael again. Also on the three part harmony on the last song, I could totally hear John's voice blending really well.
NYSinger... let's just thank my uh... amazing memory. Yes, that's it.

AHHHHHHHHHHH! I've slapped myself about 23425 times for missing this. THANK YOU MOG AND TRISKY!!! It sounds like you had an amazing night. Michael is just...wow wow wow. Could he get any cuter??? I think not. I'm sure he had an amazing set...he can make the dammn phonebook sound amazing. The pictures??? *faint* I seriously cannot wait to meet him in October (blah) It will be the highlight of my Broadway experiences, and lord knows how many pictures I'll take I'm listening to him at the moment...*sigh*
If you only knew how much of an inspiration you are to me Michael Arden
Thanks again for the reviews all!!!
PS: Mic down the throat...*woof*
very funny aspiring guy.
My only comment would be, I hope next time Michael sings something by Jason Robert Brown. I think he would do wonders with some of his songs....
I believe in his bio it says he did "Songs For a New World" as a regional credit. He'd sing the crap out of that, AMAZING!!!
Someone get some oxygen for AG. :P
Oh don't worry, I made sure it was on my nightstand for this morning...my trusty oxygen tank labeled "IN CASE OF MICHAEL ARDEN" :-P
Seriously, I need to stop...I feel like I'm becoming a crazed fan!
