Yeah, I remember someone mentioned that as well. Someone on the board said that they saw Michael at the reading.
I also stumbled upon an article a few weeks back about Michael in the workshop for Tom Jones' musical version of "Harold and Maude". Michael is only mentioned once, but very flatteringly. I'll see if I can find it online again.

David Sedaris is a genius. Bobby_Strong, you're going to love "Dress your Family in Denim and Corduroy". Which piece did you do from The Santa Land Diaries?
We went to a reading that David (we're on a first name basis you know) did at Symphony Space and he was hysterical.

I'm definitely going to pick up a David Sedaris book. I need to get back to reading for pleasure. Any recommendations?
(To make this post BARE-related, did anyone else find it really cool-but-weird that the seats and the ATA could pull back like a Lazy-Boy?)

I've slacked on my BARE posting lately, I've been reading "Great Expectations" for school...blegh. Good book, ruined by a summer assignment.
Michael's hair debate...hmmmm. The blonde has really grown on me, I look back at the brown and I'm taken aback for a second. Personally, I like the brown, but the blonde is so adorable. He looks more genuine with the brown hair. The blonde gives him a party boy edge
Thanks for the pictures BlueWizard!!! He looks amazing.
All these readings and workshops...we'll be seeing more and more of Michael in the future, which is certainly not a bad thing

Get "Me Talk Pretty One Day" by David Sedaris to start, followed by "Naked". When I tell you I was on the bus nearly crying tears of laughter and getting very odd looks, I'm not even exaggerating.
Read another 50 pages during my lunch hour. I'm going to need tissues for this book, won't I? I can feel it already. *sigh*
The only thing I noticed about the seats at the ATA was the guy kicking my chair behind me during the show. I'm still amazed that we walked in 10 minutes before it started and the front row was wide open. It was pure coincedence that we sat there. By the time Act I finished, the gushing commenced! Of course MoG was almost rendered speechless by John in his 2Xist, which if you know anything about her is quite shocking since she's rarely, if ever, at a loss for words and words and more words.

Great Expectations...a good book, but when you have to read it for an assignment it loses points. Plus it's Dickens, so he'll take 5 pages to describe a rock. Fun...fun...fun :-/

Too funny!! This had me laughing in my office and my boss just popped his head in...EEK!
Definitely looking forward to October...to see you rendered speechless MOG will be worth a trip to NYC even without the good Michael & John goodness :P LOL!

You know, I haven't read Naked yet. Can I borrow it? I'll read it after I finish Nick's book.
It was pure coincedence that we sat there.
Umm...and who was the one that insisted on sitting in the first row? I'll give you a hint. It rhymes with "Padeofgold" :)
Of course MoG was almost rendered speechless by John in his 2Xist, which if you know anything about her is quite shocking since she's rarely, if ever, at a loss for words and words and more words.
LMAO! Oh no you didn't beyotch! You are so lucky that I love you like a fat kid loves cake. For serious, yo.
Besides, can you blame me? I don't think I've fully recovered from that yet. O_O

LOL! Thank you baby. Nice to see someone appreciates my chattiness. *glares at Trisky*
And Trisky and I always joke that we'll probably end up single and unmarried living in a condo in South Beach together. You're more than welcome to join us Newcomer!

Very few things in this world leave me speechless. When John took his shirt and pants off, I knew there was a God.

Oh, we could so pull it off! I suppose this means I'd have to be the Janet of the bunch and MoG the Chrissy. (She still doesn't understand why I tell her she's the Glinda to my Elphaba - alike, we are not). Now all we need are a Mr. and Mrs. Roper, or Mr. Furley if you prefer, to keep us in line.
Bare, Oct. 13 at Dodgers Stages, go see it. There, I'm on topic. And also looking forward to seeing the changes, I'm sure all for the better.

Are you volunteering for Mr. Furley or Larry, broadwayguy? Hee!
Okay here's a question to keep us on topic, what moment/song in the show, if any, do you hope they don't change a second of? For me, any lyric in Role of a Lifetime.

I love every word of "Bare", "See Me" and "Warning" so I hope all of those stay intact.

I have a feeling I will be feeling the same way!!
Since I haven't seen the show, I can't be a judge on what they shouldn't change, but based on what I have heard..."See Me" needs to stay the same. I absolutely love that song!!

no, hun. For something like that to be created, it requires teh combined efforts of NUMEROUS Gods.

Can we just keep the whole show intact? I love it so much!
Obviously, the major songs shouldn't be changed. I also enjoy Spring. :-P

Yes, "Role of a Lifetime" is perfect; but maybe they can push it back just a bit, I wasn't ready for it so soon in the show.
If there was one track I hope they don't change an iota of, it's "See Me"; I think the build-up is absolutely perfect (as is the tiny, tiny moment of comic relief when Peter sings "There's a reason for that, Mother").
And hullo BwayTheatre11! Welcome to the thread.
I wonder what the new songs are going to be. Maybe they've read the thread and are following our advice by giving Peter & John a fullout love song.....in their underwear! (Peter: boxers, briefs, or boxer briefs? Matching 2xists?)
