Alas, I'll be in the city on the 10th seeing Cheno, and I don't think the parents will be upto going in 2 days later...*sigh*

Anyway, I have some reading to do as well. Just picked up "The Normal Heart" and "Angels in America." Finished "TNH" on the train ride home from Avenue Q, could not put it down. Read the first part of "AIA" and have to start the second. So much for "Great Expectations."

Pictures with at Avenue Q will be PMed soon, I took random pictures of my house and property yesterday...shortly followed by my mother yelling at me :-P

Sadly, you'll come to the point that MoG has come to where she just assumes if she's free, then that means I am, because one of us without the other at these things is like peanut butter without the jelly (of course I hate peanut butter, so let's not psychoanalyze that too much). Even sadder, she's usually right.

I have to pick up The Normal Heart for myself. That was one of the most intense theater moments I have ever had and would love to read the book.

I just finished reading it - it's such a moving and angry piece. I kept remembering the papers and foodstuffs and milk piling up on the stage floor, and it made me tear up. Has anyone read/seen The Destiny of Me? Is it just as good?

Broadwayguy2, thanks so much for the Natalie info on the Godspell tour recording, I did not realize she was on that recording, and I have had it all this time...I just happened to purchase the CD when I saw the tour in 2001. I am soooo excited right now...I forgot how much I like this CD and you are right she really does get to belt it out!!

Natalie sings Bless the Lord on the 2001 tour of Godspell. Man, she was fantastic. I totally forgot about her being in that until it was mentioned here. When I saw the tour, I also got to meet most of the cast, including Natalie. She had vibrant pink hair at the time, if I remember correctly, to match the pink outfit she wore in the show. She was really bubbly and energetic, but so was everyone else in the cast, and she told me to take my boyfriend home and "shag him wicked," or something like that. (I dragged him to the show, and he hated every minute of it.)

Now I'm going to have to find the CD and listen to it while I read "At Swim, Two Boys." 30 pages in, and I couldn't be more bored. It gets better, right?
